Sounds more like a cricket to me. lol
Is the exhaust rubbing on anything? I know you said it feels solid, but have you checked all the hardware (nuts and bolts) to make sure everything is tight? |

Mine had the same sound. One of the brackets that hold the canister with the other resonator broke loose and needs to be re-weld.
Btw my exhaust is ArK . Try to check if any brackets got loose on your FI. Here is the picture of the other resonator connected to the main canister. Behind it is a bracket that connects the two. Ill try to take a picture of the bracket. Attachment 96026 |
Sounds more like you and your female friend are having some "fun" time...

It just happened tonight... It will be like a week before I can get it on my buddy's lift... That's when my next day off is. I really hope it's not a broken weld.... If it is tho does anyone know what kinda warranty FI has? I really haven't beaten on the car at all so there should be no reason why it broke... |

But on a serious not it also sounds like a flex joint rusting out. |

A flex joint is the accordion looking thing on the Y pipe near the cats .

update...
So I went to my local Nissan dealer.. to have he oil changed and have them look at the noise coming from my exhaust.. (I figured I had a broken hanger) and while I was at the dealer I figured I would have them throw one on for me.. Well as I'm waiting the tech comes and says we figured out what the problem is with your exhaust. He then says your exhaust has settled and is rubbing against your cross member.. I asked the "tech" how could that be? he then proceded to say "yes sir the only way to fix it is to bend your cross member so that its not rubbing on your exhaust":eek: I asked him to let me come and look at and DO NOT BEND ANYTHING ON MY CAR! so as I'M looking at the car I looked and asked him how good he looked at my exhaust. He stated very good why? I said well my cross member is not the problem.. I then showed him that a "nut" has come loose and fallen off of the front passenger side exhaust hanger... he said oh I didt even notice that...:wtf:I then asked im for a new "nut" and a socket.. and fixed my exhaust myself.. So please someone tell me where does Nissan hire these "TECHS" from???????????????? |
^lol
