I bet it's 409ss

Nice find. Get them Ethan. I'll help with installation

Agreed with the others who said this: those are the same (or damn close!) design as the PPE's, which are ******* awesome. They picked a good design to, er, mimic...
The claimed gain is the same too... but where are their dynos? The only ways I could see the original PPE design improved on would be (1) Make out of titanium or some other uber-pricey and light metal and (2) experiment with the design further to minimize the slight low end torque dip while maintaining all the gains up top (very likely impossible without some sort of variable runner design). As to TP's vs. LTH: Here is a(n imperfect) comparison between my 2010 370Z with resonated TP's and Nismo weldina (Y-pipe version) vs. my 2011 370Z with PPE LTH + Nismo take off (H-pipe version). Both runs are under nearly identical ambient conditions and both have K&N panel filters plus the smooth tubes and a tune. Because these are technically two different vehicles (although, of course, same engine model and on the same exact dyno...), these results should be interpreted with caution -- but I think are informative, nonetheless. http://www.the370z.com/members/jordo...pe-nismo-h.jpg I think we can tentatively conclude that the PPE LTH + Nismo H-pipe set up is far superior up top (a whopping 13 or more whp), but a bit inferior down low (about 5 whp lost in a fairly narrow area). |
Here's my "ebay header". Only 13hp/17tq peak but over 20 each in the mid range. Best $350 spent so far.

Well my highest was 295HP that day with no tune, with that header, my cbe and my cai and I don't cheat like everyone else. If I was on STD like Z1 and everyone else shows then I actually made 308 untuned :). Not bad for under $900 in parts.

just doesnt seem logical at all to have that many breather mods and not tune it for proper use of the mods. the ECU on the Z is awesome to where i can adjust itself but only to a certain point. probably doing more harm than good honestly. plus a tune would have brought some nice numbers with those mods regardless of their brand name.....well maybe lol and yes we all know the infamous Z1 dyno numbers to sell their parts. sorta like the one guy now saying he has 500hp NA with a 100 shot of nitrous  i do believe my dyno session was done on a dynojet as well. cant remember to be honest what dyno AAM uses off the top of my head. |

It was logical to me. Again I had more mods to do and the car was running fine. Slightly rich, no knock, and I only dyno'd it that day to see the safety of the motor and we logged it. Turned out it was safe as hell so no need for further intervention. Even after my new CAI, ported TB's, ported upper and ported lower I ran it again before I got tuned and it was still running rich! Still zero knock! Still no issues. The car IS awesome and can adjust for everything so zero harm was done! At least on my 13. Maybe my ecu is smarter and faster than others. I know I don't have to reset the windows when the batteries unplugged. Here's every single mod I have. Reds before the tune. New CAi that's 2.75" up from 2.5" except the MAF housing was stock size with Z1 post tunes, LTH, straight pipe CBE, ported TB's, ported upper and lower manifolds. Still running mid 11's with no knock. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ps46d1e01e.jpg And here's what my tune got me that day leaning it out with a little more timing. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ps740a1423.jpg |

yours worked fine so power to you. well power to you at least, car however i mean a tune could break that 300whp barrier i'd hope :stirthepot: :bowrofl: |

The car is tuned now and is does. |
It looks really cool but that's not important. Is the coating worth the extra cost?
