MCR’s work of art exhaust, the Crimson Exhaust, for the Nissan Z has been completed for the new 370z. Here’s some photos courtesy of ZCar-World.net in Japan of it fitted to the MCR Z.

This exhaust retails around for 472,000 yen mark on the 350z so expect to pay that for the Z34 version.

Weight 13.4kg (normal weight saving of 12kg to 25.4kg)

It's a waste of money imho. There's a lot more you could do with 5k than a simple catback.

If you guys think that's nuts, the NISMO exhaust for the GTR is $18k, yes you heard right $18k

Well.. this is at least 26 pounds lighter than stock!! Not for me however.

I would not spend 5k for a Z's exhuast. Now a Porshce is a different story altogether..

RCZ 12-29-2008 04:20 PM

5k? they must be insane if they think someone is gonna pay 1/6th of the cars starting price for an exhaust. What the hell are people thinking? Good luck selling that MCR, specially with this slight financial meltdown we are experiencing atm. Its sad they have to charge such a stupid price for something I would've gladly bought.

Well, this was my favorite looking exhaust in terms of quality and appearance until I saw the price tag.

I'm fairly new to imports, but why is it so expensive? Is it just the titanium?

Its mostly the cost of the titanium and low production volume. I'm sure MCR more or less builds them per order with their factory. I am a bit surprised of the price, especially since the Amuse 350Z exhaust is under 3k, and probably THE best quality titanium exhausts.
