I wonder how this would sound with berks HFC and nismo axleback ??? Do you think it would give it a louder exhaust note ?

Tempestz 09-01-2014 06:37 PM

The nismo axle back is quieter than this axle back. However the berk cats will help it with a louder volume. I'm waiting to pick up some art pipes, or find a good deal on Z1 headers and test pipes. To see how much more sound I would get out of it.

I think berk HFC with this exhaust would sound great however.

Yea my stock axleback with berks HFC was actually louder then the the nismo axleback with berks HFC... but the nismo is way deeper which I like and also a lot less rasp.. I wondering if I changed out the factory non nismo midpipe/xpipe to the garage line midpipe/xpipe with the berks HFC and nismo axle back would it make it louder ?? I love be deep sound from nismo just want it louder lol

Tempestz 09-01-2014 08:18 PM

Well from my experience the garageline axle back is louder and deeper than the nismo axle back. Nismo axleback tends to get high pitched and raspy while maintaining the quietness with test pipes and a more free flowing midpipe. But everyone has their own thoughts and opinions. It could be a very good match.

So you think the garage line midsection/xpipe with Berks HFC will make the the nismo axle back louder ? Vs stock non nismo midsection lol

I can't get rid of the nismo axleback I just installed it and got a great deal on it unfourently... Was upset today somewhat bc I tought it would be louder vs stock.. It's deeper for sure vs stock axleback but It got a lot quiter..

My goal is to keep the deeper tone with nismo axleback and berks HFC but give It a louder tone.

Driftomodachi 09-01-2014 11:47 PM

I just ordered the X pipe and mid pipe. I have a Nismo axle back muffler so I can't wait to see how this feels

It should sound fine with with the HFC and the garageline xpipe and midpipe. I know the garageline midpipe will flow much better than the stock nismo hpipe and midpipes. So keep us posted. Would definately be interested in how it sounds.

I think it would make it a little louder. But not by a whole lot.

I think I'm about to pull the trigger.. I was going to go to the shop today to do the resonator delete to see if that helps.. But I think I'm just going to buy the garage line xpipe and midpipe instead

Tempestz 09-02-2014 01:15 PM

I would if I were you. :) with this xpipe and midpipe you will have some sort of gain in hp and torque, where as with a resonator delete you won't make any gain at all, and resonator delete on the stock piping makes the stock mufflers a bit raspy. I say pull the trigger. Plus you won't regret it. I'm extremely happy with mine

Guys,
Trust what this guy when he talks about the exhaust..he is very detailed and knowledgeable about 370z exhaust. of course everyone has different expectations about how there set up will work, but I believe he knows his stuff. I communicated with him several times and all my questions were answered honestly as bad as I wanted stock muffler to work..I feel the garageline cat back is the BEST set up.. The factory muffler is really not all that great being Nismo or standard. Trust me after being a 20 year Nissan tech,i have heard a lot of different set ups...my opinion...go with whole set up..if not enough...go with their test pipes..there is a reason they sell it as a whole set. A lot of work went into this system. Price is awesome and customer service is out of this world. Just saying

Tempestz 09-03-2014 09:34 AM

Thanks for the kind words! This definately is a great , the best alternative for anyone looking for a quality, quiet but slightly louder than stock exhaust note. It makes the exhaust sound much deeper. And picks up some ponies while doing it. I'm looking forward to hearing everyone else's opinions and experiences with it. Videos and pics please!!

My system should arrive tomorrow ...according to UPS. Hopefully I will have time at work to install. Either way I will submit feedback by this weekend.

Ok,
So I received and installed the exhaust system today. I was surprised the system was actually made by TurboXs. I heard things about them from the past were the system welds would break and such. But that was many years ago. The system was wrapped very well and boxed with A LOT of peanut paper...lol
First impressions was how awesome the welds on the system are..doesn't look like they would break easily at all! Of course all the other car guys at work wanted to inspect, touch, feel, all that. They all were impressed with overall quality. Install was a breeze..it was actually easier than taking factory off! On start up..the sound...tone...loudness was absolutely perfect. (for me) Kind of reminded me of the stock sport exhaust on the G35 coupe. This is what I was looking for! Sounds great light accel or better on heavy accel. For the $..you cant beat this set up. Thanks again to Tempestz for all his help. I did have a friend take video....trust me..u don't want it uploaded...it is AWEFULL!! background noise and picture is sooo bad... sorry guys. The videos on the first page are indeed what it sounds like.. P.S. NO DRONE AT ALL..added link to original site..17whp!!

Tempestz 09-05-2014 05:11 PM

Awesome!! Glad to hear it is exactly what you were looking for.

I too was very impressed with the sound and quality. It makes the car actually sound like a VQ.

On the Turbo XS statement, from what I Gathere, the system was designed by garage line, but it is put together by turbo xs. Regardless. I love it and it's a great exhaust. I can't wait to see en how it opens up with some Art pipes or long tube headers.

Again, Great job Garageline.

ZKraken22 09-05-2014 05:32 PM

My combo came in last Friday. I'm very happy! Soon I wanna get videos

Tempestz 09-05-2014 06:03 PM

You are combining yours with gthaus axle back right?

johncarlopang 09-05-2014 08:00 PM

is that sound like theres crackling sound involve?

Tempestz 09-05-2014 09:36 PM

I'm not quite sure what you're asking… but if its it about the pop/crackle sounds when letting off or changing gears, then yes it does.

johncarlopang 09-06-2014 04:23 AM

crackle sounds like a v8?

gt haus axle back + garage xpipe + garage midpipe = will this be a good combo?

Tempestz 09-06-2014 09:01 AM

Oh yes!! Great combo! Two guys already have it.

Just picked up a set of the topspeed axle back, for ease of switching out, I'm going to try it out for a bit. I'll post videos of it once I get back from leave.

Why the switch? I took a video but having a hard time getting it in this thread. It's on my youtube account. zswag22

Tempestz 09-08-2014 11:54 AM

I'm an exhaust horder. No real reason for the switch except the top speed axle back was on sale. So I just bought it cuz I could.

Did you try loading it through the link button? Or you could even just post the link.
