Don't like sound with TP

I think i want to go back to my aam hfc rather than keeping the aam de test pipes in conjunction with the vqde35 headers.

Does anyone know if z1 produced something that link your 370z hfc to the vqde35 headers. Otherwise gonna have those headers removed also. I cannot stand the low rpm rasp, makes the car sound like its struggling, with the hfc you only heatd some hiss which sounds great during decel.

There's nothing. DE headers won't work with HR/VHR HFC/TP/Cats.

They dont mate up to sny 370z hfc or test pipes, thats why i had to get 350z test pipes or the z1 set of test pipes. Z1 was going to make a plate to allow regular 370 hfc or tp to connect up bit i dont see it on their site and it should be available by now

Swap them out for resonated TP's -- that will eliminate 90% of it.

EDIT: Wait, am I reading this correctly? You are limited in your options? You might be able to have resonators welded in somewhere...

No it won't. I have double resonated test pipes. They don't do much. Art pipes probably would

Any de hfc will work with those headers. Sell your 370z hfc and de test pipes and youll have enough to buy 350z hfc.

Really? I originally had straight pipes, which was unbearably raspy on coast down, and then switched to CNT resonated TP's and that was a 100% improvement.

It still had a little raspiness, so fair enough, but it was substantially reduced as compared to the unresonated TP's. I'm surprised (and disappointed to hear) your double-resonated ones don't knock it out entirely.

Also, is your set up a custom one? I didn't even know there were double resonated TP's.

MXP sells double resonated tp.

bingo!!

to kill rasp you need a helmholtz resonator like an ART design. an inline doesnt do crap. or you can add your own. i did mine in the X pipe and hey work 100%

It's amazing the difference the Helmholtz resonator design makes. I have yet to hear a raspy setup matched with ART pipes (including the HKS exhaust).

So essentially it's just a resonator but capped off at the end? Any muffler shop should be able to fab this up, right?

I have test pipes waiting to be installed and you're all worrying me with this talk of rasp... :driving:

You heard hks exhaust + art pipes combo with no rasp?
