actual knowledge and hands on PCV moddification

^^^^modification.

i need actual knowledge from all the guys that have modded their PCV/intake tube breather lines etc. not from guys saying "i read you do this, or i saw that."

currently i have my PCV hose to manifold going into a catch can first so anything coming out of the PCV's gets caught in the CC first. but im still getting oil in my manifold which means it must be coming from the CAI tubes that attach to the valve heads. under WOT or idle or vaccum the oil from there is getting out the manifold to PCV hose and getting it dirty. i know this because i know my CC works 100% at not letting oil get in and then back out.

so how do i safely mod the hoses going from the valve cover to the CAI tubes without killing the motor from loss of venting or whatever else could happen??

thats funny. so much talk from people in the past but when you call someone out on if they've actually done something and you see the crowd thins real quick.

Im a little bit confused at what you are asking in your post..confusing grammar. But it sounds like you have a catch can set up in between pcv and manifold.

And you want to add 2 more catch cans between valve covers and intake? That will work. It wont hurt anything.

I re-read it, not sure how the grammars wrongs but the only question I asked was the one with the question mark . The explanation paragraph you got right and its how I'm setup currently.

As for the others I'd hate to do more CC's. I want a simple, better way possibly.

the hoses from the rocker covers to your intake pipe is for fresh air only.
what gets sucked out of each bank of cylinders via the hoses at the front of the manifold is replaced by fresh air via your intake (the hoses near each throttle body, joined by a box contraption).

maybe post up some pics of your setup - there might be a small error in installation that is causing the issue.

hows your catch can ? Is it just an empty can or with a good amount of steel wool ?
95% of the CC ive seen are empty and just made of a tube within a tube which is useless.

I use to have a lot of oil in the can after each oil change and the intake manifold has been quite clean . way much more than it use to be during the first year with the 370z.

both of my HR & VHR delivered similar deposit into my CC.

Then make one catch can with all lines going to it. Or dont worry about a small amount of oil vapor being sucked up

I know the setup, I want to delete it properly or modify it.

No need for a pic. Just a CC inline with the hoses going from the PCV to the manifold. The back hoses to the cai are untouched.

My CC is AOS and copy of the Crawford AOS. An internal baffle system that works 100% on every car it's been installed on as evidence buy the clean air hose has always been 110% bone dry. But the Z is the only car I've owned with basically two valve cover vents and now my clean air return hose going back to the manifold has oil in it. It has to be coming from the manifold out like under vacuum since under throttle the manifold should be sucking like jet engine.

Yeah my subi spit a good amount in from the engine laying sideways from the valve vents on sharp G turns and my 13 hemi dodge ram puked a ton too. Again my CC works 100% and the clean air turn hose has alwasy been bone dry till this car. I want the rear valve hoses and intake hoses gone if I can.

You've done this? Block off the intake hose and route the rear hose into the hose of the PCV/manifold?

Super Werty 06-22-2014 07:01 PM

No I was saying you could route all the pcv and intake breathers to one can.

Isn't that the same thing I said minus block off the intake?

lol I guess. the CC would still be connected to the intake.

I don't want that though. I'd feel best if the intake was all alone.
