drone for daily driver?
Hi guys, you all with these exhaust please give me your feedback. I want one of these, which has least amount of drone if any at all.
Invidia gemeni. CNT, agency power. Also the ones with most drone. ... How bad is the drone for a daily driver. |
The Invidia Gemini is probably the most DD friendly of all of those. It's pretty civil inside the cabin from what I have experienced.
|
That's what I thought the answer would be. How much more drone would the CNT have?

Yeah it would be with stock cats.
I hear that AP exhaust is pretty loud and has drone. I'm trying to stay away from drone and louder than stock but not very loud either. So if stock is a 1-2 sound and very loud is 10, I would like to be 4-6 range. |
man I would love to have a drone fly me to work every day the traffic here sucks.

drone for daily driver?
Do u drive an auto or manual? I have F.I. Exhaust with 18" res and HFCs, there is definitely drone around 2,200 -3,000 rpm, but since I'm a manual I just stay out of that range and it's very livable as my dd. but I bought this exhaust from someone who had an auto, and autos like being in that drone range, so it's not good for a dd in that case.

The new AAM axleback/catback combo in my thread on the 1st page has as little drone as you could hope for.
|
Why don't you just pick one of those exhausts you like the most and then just Sound proof your car? Its cheap to get and you get the exhaust you love the most and Zero Drone?
|
I'd get CNT all over again. I was a little disappointed that it was not loud but after adding hfc I'm happy

Yes, you really should come to Fairfax one day. You'd never guess how many adult males still live in their mother's basements. |
If stock is in the 1-2 range, what range are the CNT and AAM exhaust in? And do these exhaust come alive at WOT?
|
Garageline cat back..best bang for the buck..IMOP I use my 14z as a daily and wanted good gains with minimal loudness... this was perfect for me.

I don't have any dyno sheets...sorry. I inquired front the company (garageline) From what I know Garageline designed the exhaust and TurboXs built it. 2009 - 2014 TurboXS 370z Dual Catback Exhaust This is the link... I did talk to someone from Garageline with the same numbers. I didn't realize they were talking wheel hp..... As far as noise...slightly louder than stock...not much..just heavier...if that makes sense....no drone...and really sounds good at WOT...cruising..cant tell much different at all.. Hope this helps |
Got some pictures of it on your car? Is there any rasp?
|
Sorry for all the questions but I am doing as much research as I can before I purchase.
On interstate, is it as quiet as stock? |
