NST Pulley

Hello,
I want to buy NST Pulley kit but dunno which one, Oem sized or underdriven pulley?
What is the difference and which one is better performance wise?

DEpointfive0 05-03-2014 09:07 AM

Under driven and under driven

/thread

Might want to find the lengthy thread on this product, before you consider it any further.

Dont buy anything from NST, you'll never actually get it!

JARblue 05-05-2014 10:19 AM

:iagree:

NST had their vendor status pulled recently. The pulley group buy in January didn't go so well, either.

And half of the people who got short shifters from them are returning them for being complete ****.

When I saw how cheap they were, I said pass. I ended up paying significantly more (almost double) for a used TWM one. You get what you pay for...

JARblue 05-05-2014 10:41 AM

:icon18:

I see what you did there ;)

No, not at all. The fact you even asked that shows that you didn't bother to read the links JARblue was kind enough to find for you.

Haven't they been saying that since January? Then they decided to stop paying their vendor fees :ugh2: I think I would run the other direction if I were you.

dimitarm 05-05-2014 01:28 PM

Other vendor?
Is there any good alternative to NST pulley?

JARblue 05-05-2014 01:36 PM

I've seen a few "lightweight" pulley options, but they are not underdriven. Your best bet may to be keep an eye out for a used one here on the forum.

Not sure what happened to NST but know how upset many members were. I got in on the GB before the last one and was very happy with the transaction and their product. Had it since Nov '13 and runs great. No matter how good your product is but if your service is bad, well ........

DEpointfive0 05-06-2014 01:51 AM

I got my alternator pulley within a week... Lol

exsanity 05-06-2014 02:21 AM

Any issues with the product DE?

No, looks fine, I haven't installed it yet though, I just got it over the weekend and I've been out.
I think people should only order what is in stock. If it ain't in stock, don't order it.

exsanity 05-06-2014 02:34 AM

I really wanted a set of pullies. I just don't want to have to wait forever to get them.

Stillen 20% UD and I got NST's 10% OD alternator pulley. I believe they only have one more red one in stock. 10% off using... NST10 as a promo code I think?

exsanity 05-06-2014 03:09 AM

Is the Stillen pulley worthwhile?

Yeah, been running like that for a year or so. Just going to a bigger stereo, so having an extra 10% is good
