AAM Short Tails Installed... NEED HELP ALIGNING

Pure Swank/// and I Installed my AAM short tails today. Wish I could say it was an easy install... but we ran into several problems.

The main problem right now is that we cant get them aligned properly. We've spent about 2 hours trying to realign both sides, taking them off re putting them back on, adjusting everything... Nothing worked.

So we compared his black bracket hangers to mine, and noticed that He has 2 double bar hangers... while I have 1 single bar hanger (driver) and 1 double bar hanger (passenger)

We are thinking the out is going to be to put some washers under the hangers bolts on the furthest outside on the passenger side, pushing the bracket down on the outside... which will push the tip up.

Thoughts?

aaaand just for kicks, heres the other problem we ran into... a stripped bolt. that also took 2 hours to get off and a trip to walmart to buy vice grips. We used a dremel which finally worked. lol

... and an additional trip to Home depot to find another bolt!

Left side looks pretty good. You might need to take a sledge to the tight side and bend that bracket down. It's hanging wayyyy too low. When I installed mine, I had to use about 3-4 washers and did some pulling but it looked good eventually.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. You might have to take it to the dreaded muffler shop. :(

Edit: Looked at it again, you may just have to do some pushing to slowly bend the bracket. Again, I had to tug on mine (no pun intended) to get it straight and from touching the bumper.

Use a table vice and bend it.

thank you guys for the responses. We'll try bending the bracket some.

Worst case if you bend it too much and its touching the bumper, just muscle it down and eventually it should be where you want it. Good luck! Let us know how it goes!
