Meisterschaft VS. Fast Intentions

So I have had my mind set on the Meisterschaft exhaust for a while now and it is about time to pull the trigger, though as it gets closer and closer I keep contemplating which is better, Meisterschaft or Fast Intentions?
I realize that Fast Intentions is a lot more common on the 370z's but Meisterschaft sounds louder, though it seems to have a lot of rasp at high rpms...?

So in your opinion which should i go with?

Tempestz 11-02-2013 10:46 PM

I have personally heard and own the meisterschaft exhaust. I LOVE it, and it is my Favorite also.

BUT, If you are planning on getting High Flow Cats or Test pipes you may want to consider getting the Motordyne XYZ pipe with the Resonator or hi flow cat attachment. cuz it is loud. here is what mine sounds like. I love it but, if I get Test pipes I will also be purchasing the XYZ pipe with resonator attachment to counter balance the Db level.

If I were you, I would go with the GTHAUS if its what you like. it is a little more on the pricey side though. but man is it sexy when under the car.Good luck on the choice and if you want to ask any questions feel free. ill help in any way I can.

P.S. Vivid racing has the best price on this that I have found:tup:

nevermind, you already know what mine sounds like. well anyway. I say go with your instincts… first thing to come to mind is what to go with.

I honestly would choose the miesterchaft gt haus in titanium over my fast intentions if I could afford it but for the money the fast intensions is by far best bang for your buck not to mention some of the best dyno gains out there. But the miesterchaft sounds just purely amazing and is a work of art in my opinion.

Tempestz 11-02-2013 11:14 PM

GTHAUS comes in Stainless also.

if you're keeping your cats, it's not a bad choice. don't think anything dynos as good as Fast Intentions though.

ka24king 11-02-2013 11:51 PM

I know but the sound and look of the titanium is what drew me to it

Hmm thanks for your advice/opinion I think I will just go with the GTHAUS because I dont want to put test pipes on. HFCs where an option but they tend to add rasps to the GTHAUS. ugghh now I have to press that purchase button.....:ughdance:

This.. You in it for power or sound? Or both?

Really aiming for sound, not 100% concerned with power as I am happy with the power it puts out currently....maybe in the years to come I will supercharge but as of now I am in for mostly sound.:driving:

The only thing I would say is many people order their exhausts for their 370's and think its not going to be very loud inside the car. I thought this same thing as I had previously owned a full Fast Intentions setup on my G and thought it'd be very similar on my Z from inside the cabin(barely heard, many times wanted it louder yet everyone that followed me said it was very loud/deep). The Z is a complete 180. The inside of the Z literally has NO sound deadening, which you hear evvvvvery single thing outside the car, especially the exhaust.

With that said, I'm running Resonated HFCs with a NONresonated fast intentions catback, and its pretty dang loud. I can't even imagine how loud the GTHAUS set would be inside the car on the Z. The GTHAUS setup is easily 20-30% louder then a Fast Intentions setup.

(not sure if this plays any role of your decision, but definitely something to consider)

I would personally go with the Meisterschaft over the F. I.. If you want a very discrete/unique sexy sound, then Meisterschaft. If you want to squeeze the most hp out as possible, then F. I..

jofro6 11-05-2013 10:45 PM

if you check out my vids i have the res tp with non res fast intentions, and it is loud inside for sure... if you cant handle inside noise, i can only imagine how much louder the meis is in the cabin

MacLean 11-06-2013 07:31 AM

Oh it can get loud, but you get accustom to the unique sound. I wouldn’t recommend redlining at every stop sign or stop light.

Im all about that Meisterschaft!!! Bang for your buck, cuz you'll be killing them when they hear you roll up.

I know it's not a Z but here is my review of Meisterschaft on my G37 :)

diego@vossen, I like the set up you have a lot and it sounds pretty effen sweet. The Meisterschaft exhaust is a very very unique sound and will always turn heads no matter what.

MacLean 12-22-2013 10:59 PM

I finally got my Z dyno/tuned with everything. Click on the link below & you can here how the Meisterschaft sounds opened up completely.

Well from reading this thread what I get from it is that if you want HP then you go FI but if you want sound then go Meisterschaft? I think bang for the buck FI is the way to go.

You got it. You get gain the hp with Meisterschaft, but I couldn't give you an exact number.

I have just the GTHaus Axleback section right now, paired with Berk HFCs, and Stillen G3s... my buddy just ordered his F.I Catback the other day. He is completely stock right now, however, this Spring we will have some videos to compare. The reasons I did not go with F.I was due to the wait time, and I loved the sound of the GTHaus. I knew the full GTHaus set-up would be too much sound for me, and I was not impressed with HP gains, so I simply just ordered the Axleback for some of that sound. In my mind, I was looking to get sound and HP so I threw on the HFCs. Berk's HFCs opened the sound right up, and I absolutely love it. I am still looking at Y-Pipes to add addition HP gains, without adding any more of the GTHaus exhaust. My intentions are to keep the sound relatively where it is now, but get all the HP gains I can. I am working on some videos I recorded this past Summer and will get them on hear ASAP so everyone can get an idea of how it sounds. I say to anyone that is debating F.I vs. GTHaus..... there is no need to get all three GTHaus sections. Mix and match as I am. If you want some of that exotic sound, throw on the GTHaus Axleback. I've seen dyno numbers where guys have had just the GTHaus Axleback with HFCs, CAI, and an aftermarket Y-Pipe that produce HP and TQ numbers better than those who went with the F.I Catback with HFCs and CAI. Just my two cents... I had this debate a couple months ago (GTHaus or F.I) and I am more than happy with my decision.
