Higher compression and lighter rotating assembly (rods and pistons), make up for most of that power increase. While having that cam might help, but only with the control of the intake came.

Bigger exhaust cam helps quite a bit more in mid-range vs low or top-end. Most of the power is in the intake side. I'm sure whoever can crack, understand, and tune the VVEL will make a TON of money. Hell, reading this thread has opened up my eyes big time.

It would be awesome if someone came out with a controller that would allow you to upload digital cam profiles in seconds. I imagine it going something like this:

-I want to run a 272 intake cam today. *beep boop beep* Cam profile installed.

Def interesting, who's going to be the first to try ;)

Another note, that dynograph looks like BHP and now WHP. Thats very little gain to be had by wripping your motor apart to change 1 cam in each head. When VVEL control arises, maybe it will be better.

with our luck we wont be able to even get these cams

Unique_Z 02-18-2012 06:05 PM

sub'd for future updates

I sent them an email yesterday about those Cam and I received a short answer from them today

The cam does work with the OEM piston/rod but with the addition of the bigger cam the compression ratio is a bit low.
So they installed another piston kit to raise the compression.

Im waiting on another email for some more details & shipping quote.
he quoted me 59500jpy (extra bank comission & transfer charge) without shipping.

1. Camshaft VQ37VHR EX 68-11.0 jpy 48,000
2. Transfer charge jpy 8,500
3. Bank commission jpy 3,000

That's good news. if we can get these cams for one, an we can just get at least 15 rwhp to red line... (30 would be amazing as shown from chart) ill stay NA. a 350 or so horsepower NA Z would be amazing!

red6spd 02-23-2012 06:32 PM

In for updates.

Megan370z 02-23-2012 06:33 PM
