Berks vs AAM High flow cats?
 

Any difference on HP claims/gains? From what I have gahered I believe they both claim around 8whp... And what about sound? Anyone have the chance to hear these with stock exhaust?

I do not have any sound clips of our HFC with stock exhaust.
Our AAM HFC is made of high quality and precision made product and we check the product before we ship/install.
I will try to get one of our customer who has our 2.5" exhaust and our HFC on his car to express his thoughts. :tup:

I found that the Berk's have a 200 cell count, FI is 300, not sure what AAM's are. Something to consider.

AAM HFC is also 200 cell count. :tup:

I've heard toohip's car in person. It sounds great.

I've got the berk HFC's & like them. The car also got a lot louder with them installed. Here's a before and after video. Sorry its not the best vid:

Whats the cell count? The honeycomb cells that restrict air flow?

I'm sure it's the number of cells per [insert area measurement here]. Would definitely like to know what that measurement is... square inch?

If that's the case, wouldnt more cells be bad due to more restriction?

I just hope that the Berk High Flow Cats make just as good a noise with the AAM exhaust as the AAM HFCS cause I have Berk's HFCs and they provide more power and torque so I'm keeping them, but I really love the sound of the combo of the exhaust and hfc on toohip's youtube videos...Best sounding Z ever!!!!

I am scheduled to get the AAM HFCs installed on my 370. Do any of you guys have these same high flow cats? If so, have you had any problems with the "check engline light" coming on? I'd really like to know before getting them installed on my z and risking having to reset to ECU or whatever I'd have to do to fix that ****

I had berk hfc, was tuned and still had lean engine light codes come after a few months. No big deal. It can happen still.
