CAI arrived this afternoon so went home early to fit it, very simple took me almost two hours, if I had to do it again it would take less than an hour, I think they look great. I was revving it in the garage and it did not sound any different so I took it out...holy crap sounds very raw when you stomp on the gas pedal! well worth the $310 delivered from amazon.

Welcome to the club!

I'm pretty loyal to K&N. I've seen tons of different CAI's out there for all types of cars and K&N always seem to hit that sweet spot of awesome build quality, top-notch engineering, and excellent power gains.

Just added my K&N CAI

plus the magnaflow CBE. No issues, no CEL but the gas mileage has droped from 17.4 to 14.5. Curious what you are seeing with just the CAI.

I have a small issue after fitting the K&N...I'm sure its more to do with the battery being disconnected, when I open the door, the window drops the 1 inch to clear the rubber seal but when I close the door its not going back up. Every time I open the door it drops down another inch until I power it back up...suggestions anyone???

thanks.

btw its not a CAI. Its a short ram intake. You will be sucking in the hot air from the engine. I went with a SRI as well but added a vented hood. I figured its the best of both worlds. Get the vented cold air without having to travel the distance.
Mine is similar to takeda and it gets heat soaked like a mother, quick. I wrapped it in silicone tape and followed up with reflective foil. Seemed to help. Your tubing looks beefier so you may be ok though.

I recommend you wrapped the tubes with heat insulators like "thermo wrap" brand insulators from autozone. Big difference!

Looks good. I'll probably be getting one myself!

Thanks for the tip on Thermo Wrap, just order 15 feel on Amazon to wrap the K&N SRI

Tell you what, I like this exhaust.. It's not too load but has a nice sound to it. I was looking into the CNT Racing Exhaust but it's a 2.25. I need at least a 2.5 for my SC..
