Lookin to install Stillen G3 any cons?

I'm pretty much set on this exhaust but I can't find any cons in installing it. Only thing I've heard is that I run the risk of water damage to my engine. What's the likeihood of that happening? Looking to make an informed decision before I drop the cheddah! LOL!

First off, it's an intake, not an exhaust. lol

The risk of hydrolock is pretty minimal. The G3 sits in front of the radiator and inside the bumper cover. Unless you drive into a lake and rev the engine, you're not likely to suck any water into it.

I can't really think of any negatives other than that. It's arguably the best intake made for the 370z.

watch the a/c lines when you install it. need to slip some hose over them so the intake doesn't rub or at some point down the road your a/c will stop working. it should be in the install manual now. so just double check this when you do it.

Biggest con is having to take the bumper off to install, remove or maintain it.

I'm very happy with my Gen3 intake. Got almost a year since I've installed it (8,000km--5,000miles) and no problems.

I think it is hard to get the filters hydrolocked because most of the filter's surface is placed above the front crash bar.

What 1slow370z says is important.

Also I would reccomend watching the cable that releases the hood. I removed one by accident and couldnt open the hood. I had to remove the front facia again and fix it. :p

Here's AK's DiY to make it a little easier.
