Torque came out exactly the same?

WARAT 05-14-2013 08:39 AM

Yeah it was something about when he try to get more torque out of it, it messess with the timing. Overall, I'm still happy with the outcome.

Chuck33079 05-14-2013 08:43 AM

Were all those parts installed when you did your baseline? Something's not adding up. That dyno's a heartbreaker, so the HP looks good.

WARAT 05-14-2013 08:46 AM

Yeah it was already installed. I didnt do a stock baseline dyno. Even the other G's I went with same day that had exact same mods had little to no torque gains and mostly hp gains only.

My friend's 5AT put out 302 whp 233 wtq after tune. Same exact mods as mine in every single bolt ons.

Chuck33079 05-14-2013 08:54 AM

Ok, that makes more sense that the change is due to a tune only.

WARAT 05-14-2013 09:13 AM

Btw, how's your GTM holding up? I almost got into the GB Sam set up for the TT kit. Kinda kicking myself for not doing it. Lol

Chuck33079 05-14-2013 09:17 AM

Still going strong. GTM makes good stuff.

If torque stays the same but peak hp is higher that means your torque is peaking later in the rpm band.

You should compare the torque at say 3500 before and after as that will more accurately reflect the improvement in drive ability.

Chuck33079 05-14-2013 03:41 PM

I just thought it was odd it hit the exact same torque number before and after.

He didn't include the highest tuned plot on the graph but doesn't bother since its just peak number. As you can see, the gain from the tune comes around 5k RPM.
