Why do you say that?

Next time we meet in person I can go in more depth. You should google their name and see what pops up on forums. They had their shop cars up for sale a couple years back and then moved to bellevue from tacoma. I have a good idea why they did. Based on just alot of forum talk and 2 good friends cars that were worked on. I was at a dealership that had a EVO that had their sticker on it half removed, was fairly large. Told the salesman he needed to finish removing that sticker, would have a better chance selling in tacoma. He asked why and also stated several people that were walking the lot in the last week before I was mentioned the same thing. Didnt go into details with him. Have you been to speedware? They are up on your side of town.
But I am stoked you are getting this and local too. You got the Gen3's too, so I am curious how it will turn out numbers wise. |
Well it looks like there builds are going good now that they moved. But my friend was good friends with Cody and he kind of helped him open the new location.
So he had me come up for a good priced dyno run that's all. I do all my own work so far. I have always went to Intech for my tunes even ten yrs ago when I was the only guy to have a EF with a type R in it. But back on topic I'm a south end guy like 10 from u. So no I have not been to speedware yet but someday. Also yes I can't wait either it should be here on Friday it says. I should be 310-320 I think somewhere in there. |
^^ looks like tracking says you'll be receiving yours on Friday, you'll be in for a "slight" surprise haha

Interested, but cost is, as others noted, prohibitive... :icon14:
Very interested if JUST the H pipe is offered and found to make gains on otherwise OEM Nismo exhaust. |
Quote:
The H-pipe alone will do next to nothing on an OEM nismo exhaust, why? Because you're just bottle necking to 2 1/4" intermediate pipe from the stock exhaust anyways This is the exact reason why we are not separating the two. Now for those who have the Amuse exhaust which is an H-pipe back exhaust, I kind of don't have any good news for you guys, as you're either stuck buying our midpipe combo or Sunline's H-pipe which is $750 anyways |
Oh boy. Is this a good or bad surprise.

By the way, how you like the K&N drop-in filters, good gain in power? I want to be able to keep dual OEM intakes. |

I wanted to get some but NO ONE has done that combo and posted a youtube video or comment or dyno info about it. The K & N plus MAF Tubes didn't bring me any noticeable power at first. But the more I took off in fourth gear on the freeway, the more I noticed the increase in power. A tune should give me more whp numbers as well as if I buy the HFCs... |

I don't have a baseline dyno number for 7AT, so I will have to find someone with factory stock with no mod 7AT to do a dyno pull and compare with mine. Khoi, will you do a one cost dyno pull fee for both 370Z on same day? |
Quote:
The dyno numbers for the 7AT vary from 280whp-240whp and tq 195-230... So i can never get a good estimate of my whp without a dyno. If the sound isnt that much louder, then i would consider HFCs for sure. |
Oh okay. Maybe you should get Amuse axle-back with Motordyne mid-section, stock HFC, it not too loud compare to Meisterschaft. I hear it in person on G37 coupe, sound pretty good and a bit louder than Nismo 370Z with factory cat-back with aftermarket HFC.
I couldn't tell how loud my cat-back because I am hard of hearing, I wear a hearing aids in left ear and am deaf in right ear. That why loudness is hard to tell, my hearing buddies tell me my exhaust set up is loud but it do worries me when police creep up behind me or sideway on the quiet empty road at night, but so far, it not a problem for them yet. What brand of HFC would you get? I like Berks HFC, very strong design. I would get AAM HFC because nobody is running them yet in my area, I like to take different route to compare with Berks HFC on my buddie's G37 coupe, and we chat for like a hour about HFC lol. Oddly, for 7AT 280whp is a lot but there were a customer's G37 coupe with 7AT did a UpRev tune PTUNING, his mod is full Tanabe cat-back system, not sure what intake he had, Berk HFC, he push more than 300whp on the dyno. One thing I know is manual transmission can push more than 7AT. Yeah, every car is vary in whp on dyno, it depend how aftermarket part perform on each level. I do understand the noise of exhaust is concern for some drivers. I just like it loud. Quote:
