Those things would sound sooooo bad ***!!

That would be incredible. If they ever have a 95%-off sale, I'll totally buy em

Looks good. But sounds expensive by the time you're all done. Imo

Since the VQ is a drive by wire throttle system and these ITB's are setup for a cable driven throttle system, the car will need to be converted to a cable pedal setup as well as either a speed density or Alpha-N standalone engine management system. This modification is for serious engine builds only and requires professional installation and tuning.
Yep. Sounds VERY expensive. Racing team-only expensive.

Those are NOT bolt-ons. There is ALOT of work to set those up. BUT it would be neat! :D

edub370 12-08-2012 03:20 PM

Man if that were plug and play I'd buy it right now

We can share and split the cost 6 ways

Stand alone and mustang TB cable system...

Waiting on a text from a friend who's running a cable on his 600whp DE Z!

Switch to HR heads, possibly re-use the lower intake manifold, bolt these suckers on, and find someone to code the ECU for throttle control?

i've got $20 on it. we don't even have to install them on my car. all im asking is for a ride every once in a while lol.

UNKNOWN_370 12-10-2012 12:14 PM

I'd rather sell my Z and buy a car with a stock turbo and buy intake, exhaust, boost controller, turbo timer and tune. Another 10k in brake and suspension upgrades. $5k+ labor in k in a throttle body after the $4k purchase? Laughable.

phunk 12-10-2012 12:25 PM

VVEL with a really really nice plenum and intake runner setup should be able to do everything and more than ITB conversion?

Kingbaby 12-10-2012 07:22 PM

My friend confirmed that it's not too much of a pain. It's all in running the cable efficiently, once that's out the way standalone engine management and you're good to go !

8k later
