Even with FI I know it won't compare to that Mustang sound. I really, really, really miss my Mustang. I think when I start making a little more money I'm going to go after a '03/'04 Cobra Vert. Catted X-Pipe + Magnaflow Cat-Back + pulley = :driving:

If your saying that, I reckon I'm really going to love this setup. With just the G3's installed for now I'm purposely getting the car going in the higher revs just to hear the extra sound they give over stock.

I've always had loudish exhausts and based on the videos so far that have been posted that sound is SWEET.

BTW, I have almost 10,000 miles on my Z now and the stock exhaust has really broken in well. It actually sounds good under moderate acceleration at certain RPMs, especially with my Injen intakes.

I'm hoping that my FIs make it a little meatier but still keep a bit of that raw sound that I like.

I never could get into that color. I would go for yellow/red/black/sonic blue/dsg/white/silver :icon18:

Those cars are just awesome.

Which engine are you guys generally talking about for the Stang. If i remember rightly there are a few options. A couple of guys here in AUS have gotten versions crated over and they do sound great.

Edit - 200th post YEAH (Random i know).

4.6L 4v DOHC. The 4-valve and 2-valve 4.6L Mustangs are the best sounding modern American V8's, IMO. The 5.4 liter and the newer 3-valve 4.6Ls don't sound quite as nice.

It took a LOT for me to choose a V6 over a V8. I'd be lying if I told you I was 100% happy with my choice. I really need both, so hopefully in the next year or two I can afford to pick up a Cobra.

Luckily for me, though, my gf drives a CLK 500 and we are having a custom exhaust system built for it in a couple weeks. 5-liter V8.
