You got 291 with FI Catback and HFCs?

I got 298 with invidia Gemini and art pipes at the same location. Although I did have k and n panel filters as well. just some numbers to think about.

I always wanted to try the FI exhaust. The dual muffler look I can't get used too.

ART Pipes will give you better numbers than HFC's due to being cat-less. Nothing to impede the flow of gas.

I also did the pulls about 30 min after the install so no time for the ECU to learn. Only did 2 pulls also since they were just baselines before the tune that wasn't bale to happen. Probably could have gotten a little more with a few more pulls. Expecting to be just over 300 after the tune in 2 weeks (hopefully, if Uprev gets the new map or whatever it is they need for mine done) I'm also an auto which they say has a bit more Hp loss through the drivetrain.

Thanks!

I may need your help in 2 weeks with a video post if I remember to bring a better camera record the tune. (forgot my SLR this time so the pics were with my little point and shoot)

GO PUT MILES ON THAT EXHAUST! :rofl2: You will want to let it get good and broken in before getting a tune. That way you get the best possible numbers from it.

You'll notice the sound will deepen and become slightly quieter as time goes on.

Shouldn't be a problem. Do you have a youtube channel? Easiest way is to make one for yourself and upload them there, then just bring the links here.

Yeah, the tune shop was close to Fast Intentions and both are a far drive so I was trying to save myself a drive. But now that I need to wait 2 weeks, I'll get to put some miles on it.

By the way, I will reiterate what everyone else has already said. Tony is a great and very helpful guy. He even offered to buy me lunch. FI is the way to go for your breathing mod needs for our Zs.

Tony!!

This review is waaaaaay overdue, between vacation, new job and hocking the Nismo, I have been extremely BUSY.

I have put roughly 350-400 miles on my FI 18" SS CBE, the wait is more than worth it. If you are looking for an intoxicating sounding and sexy looking exhaust this is it hands down!! Look no further, the tone is simply and purely gorgeous, I get an Eargasm just thinking about it.

I found myself going out in the wee hours of the night many times to hear my baby sing to me. Quality, fit and finish are immaculate, did I mention the sound? Oh and by the way, as an added benefit, your car is faster!!!:happydance:

Tony, when are you going to start making exhausts for the GT-R?!!!!!:stirthepot:

happytheman 11-16-2011 09:13 PM

Say Vapiano..you've only got the CBE and no other breathing mods right? If so, would you mind taking/posting a couple of casual pass by sound/video clips for me at diff RPMs (under 5k please). It seems that everyone that does a drive by always wants to scream by at 6-8k rpm and that's not giving me a real world feel for the exhaust from the outside.

Thanks man!

Sure, let me track down a video camera, for some reason my Sony Cybershot does not pick up the sound of the exhaust when recording. Must be a frequency thingy.

Video doesn't do this system justice, you need to hear it in person. Not only do you hear it, you feel it; it has a deep rumble that grabs your soul.

I am sure there is a group in your area where you can listen to it first hand, once you ride in one with this exhaust; you will buy it.

update for anyone on this thread. i now have about 1400 miles on my F.I. system already and it still makes me smile everytime i start up my Z

i do believe it is fully broken in now and so far its just as loud and beatiful sounding as the first nite after the install.

once spring rolls around i plan on taking it to a dyno/tune shop by my and getting that all handled and i'll have numbers to post. for now though the snow is getting ready to fly here in western PA so the Z is going into hibernation for the winter.

still looking into a possible GTM stage 2 TT set-up over the winter months. so we shall see what kind of monster rolls out of the garage when the snow melts in spring (if i feel like parting with another $10k lol) :driving:
