It's kinda like saying to a 3rd grader, okay, score a 1600 on your SAT or we'll cut your legs off... :ugh2:

:rofl2:

haha sounds like my dad back in the day.

if i dont have a video up soon you guys really need to get on me because somehow i always forget to upload it when i get home from work.

also i dont know why anyone would get resonators. my non-res CBE and non-res test pipes may be the sexiest sounding thing i've ever heard lol

honestly i havent heard any. the only sort of "rasp" i hear around that rpm range is from the exhaust vibration really. that itself isnt much at all. its just raw, loud, and effing mean sounding. makes my Z sound like it should lol.

like i said before though i keep getting mistaken for being boosted from the F.I. hiss when i let off at low speed like pullin up to a redlight or stop sign lol

FPenvy 10-25-2011 04:16 PM

hopefully i'll have some time after work today i'll try and get a decent video on my new iPhone and see how it sounds. worst case i may have to go get the nice sony handycam and see if it takes any better quality sound then my phone.

Cwis you may have to help me with the whole video embedding thing i've never had to do that on here yet.

I do this purposely when idiots in hondas and RSX's and SRT4's pull up next to me. I had an SRT4 follow me on the way home last night for a bit, then he roared up beside me, I never even acknowledged his presence, then he dropped back, listened for a bit and popped through two gears to let the bov make it's presence known, to where I just downshifted and let off the gas. To which there was a nice loud hiss followed by the DSM revving to the next gear. He politely drove on his way... :rofl2: Idiot wanted to mess with me on a public road at night up hill... :shakes head: Stupid kids and their cheap power...

I have the non res cbe but cnt hfc's and the cats are causing me some rasp around 3k-4k rpm and I'm ready to change to the resonated tp's. Haha the hiss is good sometimes, gives people that wtf look on their faces.

a cheap route for good audio/video quality is the flip ultra hd! i use it all the time for concerts and everything, works great. i just bought a gopro this weekend, to be honest im very disappointed and the sound sucks balls. i'm gonna be returning it next weekend.

Wait wait, before you return it...

A. What were you recording?
B. Which door did you have on the back? (The solid one of the one with holes?)

Glokwork 10-25-2011 06:08 PM

I was recording exhaust sound clips...as soon as the engine starts there is this terrible low crackling buzzing type sound that is constant until the engine is shut off. This was using the door with the slots and didn't have any wind noise up to 50mph.

Where was it mounted?

Do you have the vid uploaded so I can hear it?

Glokwork 10-25-2011 06:11 PM

I tried three mounts, first on the dummy foglight, then right above the burger on the rear and last on the driver quarter panel right at the rear wheel. I'll start uploading the last vid since it's the shortest.

Hmm, if it's the sound I'm thinking of, it may just be the case vibrating from your non resonated exhaust... I sometimes have a little rattling sound when I have it on the rear bumper and it's a bumpy road...

Glokwork 10-25-2011 06:15 PM

I think the exhaust tone is causing the sound as well, but everywhere I've put it including on the ground behind it, I get that shitty sound.

Maybe you might wanna see if the door is snapped on tight enough??
