@ 2k rpms you can feel the power as you go through the band, but that's typical for harmonic resonance. But there is no 'drone' associated with it.

I drove from LA to Phoenix with the windows down in both auto and manual modes, and there was nothing audible, I even turned my stereo off just to hear the exhaust. While commuting through the city immediately after install when it's at its loudest pre-breakin, Trips and I were still able to carry on a normal conversation inside. It's no different than any other aftermarket setup... It only comes to life when you get on it, like it's supposed to.

I will have a full up review soon, I just need to get vids so I have audio/visual to back this up.

Oh boyyyy can't wait:happydance:

Have you guys noticed all the used FI exhausts in the Parts For Sale forum? Why wait for a new one?

Threw a code this morning. Hoping it is not an evap leak related to my putting heat wrap on the lines (although I did that 3 days ago) as part of the CBE install. My old OBDII Peake scanner does not work on the Z, so I'll have to try Pep Boys later for a new one or a scan. I'll keep you posted...

Damn, & here I thought there was drone. Then again that's only from a small grp that has this exhaust and those only have the CBE. Not the headers w/ it. I'm re-thinkin my plans. Lookin forward to your write-up.

You have to remember though sound is subjective... It's based on what the person wants. What might sound good to someone, might not sound the same to someone else based on what they want... What some of us call 'exotic rumble' others call drone... But as far as I'm concerned there is no sound that can be called a 'drone'. At any highway speed, 45,55,65,75,85,95... lol

Code P0300 Randon/Multiple Cylinder misfire. Could this be related to the exhaust install, or perhaps the fact that it was a cold, rainy morning when the SES light came on? I'll probably post on the more general engive/drivetrain section, but wondered if anyone else encountered this code after a CBE install.

I erased the code, and no light upon first start up.

I highly doubt that swapping an exhaust would have any effect on the inner workings of the Cylinder's... So prolly completely unrelated, and if it doesn't get thrown again, then you should be fine.

Apparently (if what I'm reading is correct) exhaust valves and faulty cats can cause this code. In additional to a whole bunch of other crap!

I am glad it wasn't the evap leak code...I didn't want to face a dealer with that given the exhaust mod/removal of evap canister cover.

Weird. I have never had a problem like this after doing an exhaust.

I think it was just a coinky-dink. I was actually relieved when I saw the code!

My exhaust is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. :excited:
