Isn't Stillen catback a bolt-on replacement? How can you do that incorrectly?

Actually the Stillen exhaust did have an issue hitting the crossmember for awhile and Stillen even made a revision to fix the issue, which is now not a problem.

Thats kinda odd, because alot of the early guys had alot of issues...unless every single one of us installed it wrong? Not to mention the amount of rumors that went around about them applying a 'fix'. Who knows what to believe right?

I'm not trying to start anything, I just wanted to chime in because of how strongly you came off on that post. Its a good exhaust - but it had its problems for more than one 'bonehead'.

How's the added power, is there a noticeable difference? Which version did you get?

Honestly i havent really gunned it yet. I got on the freeway earlier and there was a cop infront of me the whole way to my exit. But i can honestly say i do feel the torque more from the get go. I got the 18" res...and the sound is great. you can hear what the Z SHOULD sound like from the outside with the windows down. And me, being all about the honeys, am definately satisfied with the interior sound still being quiet enough to keep the mood right with the ladies.

I see both sides to it. You see this question and you automatically want to defend Stillen. Mainly because you have it on your car with no issues. I feel his question is valid due to the fact that Stillen has had alot of fitment issues in the past. Now at this point it looks like the fitment issues (with the cat back) have been resolved.

2.5" will be more than enough to about 525-550 RWH. Now, you can make more with the 2.5" but it becomes restrictive at that point. You have to be careful in regaurds to a S/C with the exhaust. Bigger is not always better. The supercharger will need back pressure unlike turbos which need no back pressure but trust me when I tell you this, our exhaust with a supercharger will outperform any other 2.5" cat back on the market.

I would bet the farm on it.

To expand on this a little.. would your high flow cats also work with a s/c setup? or would the test pipes be better? Thinking of someday "maybe" doing an SC.
