Gtm itb

Hi guys seen a heap of threads talking about them but does anyone have the individual throttle bodies on a 370. Vq37. Interested in doing rods and high comp pistons with a ex jun cam and these itbs. Any info would be great ?

Thanks

Considering the way VVEL controls throttle via the intake valves, leaving the throttle plate 100% open at all times, would ITB's have any effect other than increased flow capacity? I doubt throttle response would be insanely better, if at all.

I've always wanted to see that done on a 370z. If you decide to do it let us know how it turns out and if it has any noticeable gains for the car.

OP Be the innovator and do it. For those of us who are on the fence on staying N/A.

Most the time, being an innvator and being the first means to run into all the errors and hardships for the rest.

My approach, wait and see. Jun Cams have been out and where are the big companies at? Why aren't they dynoing these cams so we know what it can do. According to Chilton guide. The cam install is a pita and is about 24 hours of labor to install. That's if everything goes well. But we have no dyno graphs of power.

No explanation as to the difficulties or things to look out for during install or if the cams would even be worth getting since VVEL is unlocked but only in the "BETA" phase.

What it comes down to is. Alot of cash if your tuner can't get the ITB's to run right or it pisses you off cause your car won't idle or run right everytime the weather changes. GL with your decision.

There is a 370z out there running itb's I saw it on Facebook. It was a vk swap though if I'm not mistaken. I'll try to find it.

thats not a vq. thats a vk56 out of a titan (notice the 8 tubes). completely custom job.

With going ITB you will have to go to a Cable throttle and a full standalone ECU... I have already looked into doing a project but a 4.2L project and a nismo. Compression ratio will need to be 12.0 or less on street gas.

The pic I posted above was run using MS3 I believe. That would atleast take care of the ECU issue.

Just call top secret and open Mr. wallet

price + gains + labor + trial and error = not worth it
