The Greddy Airinx (which looks exactly the same as the Takeda) is another option. You can get the long tube intake gains without the worry of cutting things up.

My only thing is I can't decide if I want to bother with bumper removal everytime I want to check/clean the air filter. Now that there is a long tube intake option that doesn't require me to cut up my car, that is my only thing left.

Anyone with a Takeda/Akuma/Greddy intake that had to wrap their A/C lines?

Takeda here, no wrapping A/C lines for there was no metal to metal contact here.:tiphat:

Did you feel a power boost after the intakes? If so, was it in addition to your HFCs power boost?

(Im starting to plot my mods out)

Absolutely A. I felt gains all across the power ranges plus fifth pulls even harder. I've had the HFC for a while so the gains were on top of them. At this point, the final performance mod for me will be the tune.

Nice, have heard so little about that intake.

I just installed the K&N Typhoon as well. Definitely a more aggressive sound than stock and I see a performance improvement as well. Price and level of effort to install is very good.
