Hey guys, as I mentioned in the title, I am consider to buy a used nismo exhaust...The seller send me several pics of the part. Could u guys take a look at the pics and give me some advices????? Good one or poor one? The price is as low as $500...

Nothing shouts out at me. Why do you want to spend $500 on this? Get a better exhaust.

DarkJak 09-11-2012 06:29 PM

$500 is pretty standard for the nismo CBE's, although I've seen a bit lower before.

You won't have much of a volume change though, and the h-pip looks about as restrictive as the y-pip on the regular exhaust, so you won't have as much gains either, maybe 5-ish hp.

because I have no money! lol thanks for your reply

Thanks dude, I have the same blue 370z with u! your reply is very informative for me! I almost no nothing about exhaust. If I want to make the sound louder and spend less money on it, which kind exhaust should I have or what kind of part is necessary?

Should be able to get it for less. There is one posted in CL here in AZ and he wanted $650. We agreed on $400. Still haven't made the deal though.....

Buy the TopSpeed. If I recall it still goes for 500-600 dollars and has actual gains.

If you want to go louder, spend less money, and get good gains, used HFC's or test pipes + a 2.5" Y pipe would get rid of the largest restrictions in our exhaust. Tone on the other hand, you might have to gamble on. It'd be about the same price, excluding install.

Thanks for your information!!!!!If I plan to spend $1000 exclude installing fee...what would be the best choice???

HFC or test pipes, and a catback. Install it yourself (depending on how new your car is, it might be worth going to a mechanic for the HFCs/test pipes).

There are 68000 miles on my 09 370z...too high?

370Z Purist 09-12-2012 08:57 PM

Yeah... I'm sure those cats are pretty much welded onto the exhaust by now. Might be worth going to a mechanic to get those off, unless you intend on doing it yourself.
