I just got the new topspeed pro1 cbe, it's really nice sound, good fitment, good power, but it has a little dent on the passanger side muffler, I think it has to damaged during the shipping. Everything is perfect. Thank you cycy89.

If that's correct then it doesn't follow the same format as the rest of their site. They have 3 systems, track, resonator, and silencer. Each is offered in titanium look and stainless, but for each system the titanium and stainless have the same configuration (bends, resonators, etc), just different material.

In this case the stainless track spec (the one they don't have a picture for) and the titanium track spec, which they do have a picture for, are nothing alike if you are saying that underbody shot is the stainless track spec.

There are no resonators on the titanium track spec. The muffler configuration is completely different as well.

I hope I'm not making an *** out of myself and missing something obvious here.

mbowler 08-29-2012 09:09 AM

Btw I have emailed them again asking why the stainless and Ti track spec look like completely different systems (not just the blue).

The Z monster 08-29-2012 09:41 AM

I'll have to look again. Maybe I'm wrong lol.

mbowler 08-29-2012 10:32 AM

Got a response from TS. They actually are different systems even though both are called track spec. Clear as mud.

The Z monster 08-29-2012 10:35 AM

lol. Thanks. I think I'll end up getting this unless it's cheaper to get a cnt and cnt releases a new exhaust. Idk man. Decisions decisions. I like them both. I had top speed with ART pipes tho and hated the ART pipes sound. Edub has a good sound with his setup. That's the CNT exhaust

there's a lot more on my channel. drag strip, autox, etc.
I mount the mic in between the mufflers for best sound quality.

Top Speed CBE drone

Great fit and great sound. Great deal for the money. My only complaint is the annoying drone at 4000 RPM. I don't mind loud, but the drone is bad.

When did you have it installed? the drone gets better after it breaks in.

Hey guys, just had a tune with the CNT cbe and test pipes, also R2C intake, here is the dyno sheet for your comparison.

Whats the peak hp there... about 300whp? slightly more than i made with almost the same mods (save for injen intake), but as they say, each dyno is different.

nice linear sheet tho. how does the butt dyno like it?

bvdawg13 09-05-2012 01:09 PM

Drives good. I never really got on the car before since I was in the break in period, but now it pulls hard up top but doesn't have as much low end as I did completely stock. Once I put the intake and exhaust on I babied it since everyone says it makes the car extremely lean when actually it was on the richer side. Baseline the AF was in the 11's now its around 12.4. The new numbers are 305hp/235tq

Edub, you made more tq so maybe its the difference of the CAI vs R2C and just the difference in the car.

Is there any gains with these exhausts

I'd say if there are gains they're minimal but they both sounds great for lower priced exhausts

Yep :iagree:

cycy89 09-17-2012 08:46 PM

I loved my TSCBE... I have been thinking about ditching my single side to get one again and just change the tips. Power and sound were great, although the fitment wasn't fantastic.

I liked the sound more of that more than the CNT.

Did you get it off the top speed website? And does anyone know if these will fit on a 2013 z?

I'm honestly confused, I'm weighing all the options as far as which CBE to get, and I don't get why the CNT exhaust wouldn't give the same power as the similar HKS exhaust. I understand "you get what you pay for" for the most part but if it's the same diameter piping going down the same path, why wouldn't you get the same gains?

It does give the same power ... see sig for dyno numbers
