Z1 3 Bolt Metal Manifold Gasket for HFC or Testpipes
Z1 is pleased to offer new multi-layer manifold gaskets. The fight with leaking testpipes and high flow cats has gone on long enough. We adopted our tried and true solution for turbo manifold gaskets to solve the leaking problems.
http://www.z1motorsports.com/g37_370...600&page=popup Often the RTV sealing method or composite gasket for the 3 bolt flange from the manifold to the test pipe/high flow cat doesn't hold up over time. This is typically due to extreme exhaust temperatures and leads to irritating exhaust leaks and potential Check Engine Lights. To solve this potential problem Z1 designed and produced our very own multilayer metal exhaust gasket for this application. (Interesting note: The 350Z came stock with this style gasket). The gasket is similar in construction to the manifold to turbo gaskets we have used for years on turbo applications. It has proven to be one of the strongest and most robust parts despite the extremely abusive conditions they are exposed to; these gaskets can be removed and reinstalled countless times without any problems. Replace your old, leaky exhaust gaskets with these reuseable gaskets that will fix that annoying exhust leak. These work with all aftermarket testpipes, high flow cats, or turbo applications. |
Baller. Where buy?!

I'm up in Cobb county, how about you?
I am down in Columbus...not a whole lot of 370z's down here.:shakes head:
Ive got them on mine too. No leaks with heavy track use
Pm'ed you chuck!
Where are these gaskets used? Between a test pipe/hfc and exhaust? Or between test pipe/hfc and header? Or can they be used for both?
These are between the header and TP. The gaskets for the TP/catback are a different design.
If you are looking for the gaskets between the testpipe and catback we have those as well. They haven't been as prone to failure because the gasses have just a little bit of time and space to cool off.

Thanks for all the PM's last week.

OEM 2 Bolt Exhaust Gasket #20692-1E810 Is is sold as a set of 2 for $9.72 ? |
That particular gasket is sold individually. You would need a quantity of two.
perfect! thanks
will these fit onto resonated megan racing test pipes? and does anyone know if my current gasket got a leak in it could the crap from the gasket gotten sucked back into the engine?
Bought a set of these last week and the quality of the header to testpipe gaskets is fantastic. They fit perfectly and look very well made! Unfortunately Z1 sent me the incorrect size gaskets for the testpipe to catback joint and I didn't find out until the car was up on a lift taken apart at the speed shop getting billed by the hour. The GTM testpipes came with very poor quality gaskets that unfortunately had to be used due to the error.
I emailed Z1 and they apologized for the error and are sending me new ones however the car is buttoned up and not planning on taking it apart again until the gaskets fail. I suppose when the time comes I will have a nice set rolling around my garage waiting to be swapped in. Overall fantastic product and great customer service. I'd vouch for the quality of these gaskets for sure : ) |
Hey Chuck, i just recently bought some test pipes (For a 350Z) to mate with my momentum headers. Does this new style gasket come with them? They are the test pipes for the DE engine. Thanks!

Unfortunately those will need a set of gaskets. The 350Z used a gasket from the factory similar to the one we had custom made for the 370Z. You would need to pick up a pair of these for the momentum headers because we don't include them since the 350Z came with them stock. OEM 350Z / G35 Exhaust Gasket (Manifold to Cat) Sorry it's a little complicated for momentum header use. |

Thank you Z1 for making these! Completely blew out the composite gaskets that came with my test pipes and these sealed the exhaust leak easily and have been going strong. Awesome stuff!
What is the diameter? 2.5 or 3"
Just installed these yesterday and they leak EVERYWHERE. I'm not sure if the seal activates by heat, but when we first started the car up all three sides of he gasket leaked and you could even see a gap. Put a lot of RTV on them but I fear they are still leaking.
Z1 please advise |
Put a set of these on day before yesterday and leak like hell too. Never had a problem with leaking gaskets before these and I've always just used whatever came with the pipes. Even put an impact gun to them and still leak. Going to put regular gaskets back in and toss these along with the $50 they cost into the trash.
Update: placing an order for Fast Intention's gaskets. They are cheaper and look more for fit for the job than the Z1 units upon closer examination.
I have never had a problem with Z1 products before, but am rather disappointed in the performance of these supposedly heavy duty gaskets. The set of two 2-bolt 2.5" gaskets I purchased for $7 were thicker than the $35 "multi-layer metal" ones. On a positive note, I sent Z1 a message about this last night and woke up to a response from Jon this morning. The product may have been faulty, but at least their customer service isn't. |
Damn I have a set of these waiting to go on. =( Should I just save myself the headache?

Depending on what happens with Z1 I'll drop a one star review to deter other people from suffering the same fate and send them back to the drawing board for a better design. |

I installed my art pipes yesterday. The z1 3 bolt metal gaskets are horrible. Any solutions to this or alternate gaskets people use? Did metal gaskets + rtv worked for anybody?
I used a combination of the Berk gaskets and copper RTV, I wouldn't waste my money on the Z1 metals again.
I tried these and the other gaskets offered by Z1. ALL LEAKED!!! Huge waste of money. Avoid like the plague.
My gaskets are leaking so bad. Anyone got a fix. Just spent so much time installing and now i have to redo haaaalp
I too had a nightmare of a exhaust leak after installing these gaskets and I choose to avoid these gaskets like the plague. I had to waste time and redo my exhaust because of these gaskets. I ended up using the Fast Intentions gaskets and fortunately I did not have a exhaust leak anymore.
thanks man. Will be ordering the FI.
