yeah, $250 for a 45 min install is terrible!
a catback would normally not void warranty, although I'm sure that if you had engine trouble, your local nissan stealership would insist it is your fault and make you pay for repairs. if it's something unrelated, like, your power windows just totally got jacked, they wouldn't blink an eye (well, they shouldn't)
also, you paid 250 dollars?! that's a last resort if you strip all your bolts. all you need is a jackstand or two... |
how much did you guys pay for the catback with res fi
catbck install should cost $free.ofree and an hour of your time.

will a intake void it?
Okay....yes it was 250, but I waited close to 14-weeks for the exhaust I considered to be the best, so getting it installed by a shop that sold me the car, that installed it perfect, clearance at every point, was worth every penny......and I could afford it.
Intake won't void it either
bolt on mods wont void the warranty unless they can prove that the specific modification caused the damage.....
For example you install an oil cooler, a fitting comes loose, draining all the oil while your on the highway, engine is toast, you are liable. If you are really scared, then when you have an issue, just swap your stock part back on before you visit the dealer. |
