Also got mine yesterday #1387, immediately started to put it in finished in about 3 hours with nothing but manpower from jacking up to putting her down, sounds amazing.

Mine were non-res and is definitely deeper than I thought, incredibly happy with the result

Thanks again FI!

I'm right there with you.

Order number 1400 and trying really hard to be patient; which is pretty damn difficult when you read absolutely nothing but good feedback. :yum:

Haha yeah. Just focus on other mods and when the exhaust comes in its a very pleasant surprise.

Kzonts 05-18-2016 06:28 PM

For those of you who have this exhaust without a tune, does it cause a noticeable loss of low end torque?

cooltoy 05-18-2016 07:00 PM

I don't thin one breather mod requires a tune.

#1383 is installed and sounds fantastic! Install was fairly easy. Soaking the studs/nuts with Liquid Wrench the night before definitely helped. This system is incredibly well made. The power increase is noticeable. It is worth the wait and the cost without hesitation!

One question for those that have done the install (or FI rep)... after installing the heat wrap on the EVAP purge line, and tightening the zip ties, I noticed the line has a small kink in the bend just after exiting the EVAP canister. I don't recall if this was there prior to installing the heat wrap, or if I was a little to strong when tightenning the zip tie and causes the line to pinch slightly and kink. It's not bent over completely or anything, just small kink in the bend. I have no idea if this would affect vapor flow to the engine for burn off or not... Does anyone else see similar small kink in that corner? Thanks! I can try to take a picture of the area, but it's hard to see with the wrap on, more can just feel it.

1408 still waiting. Anyone know the latest number that was shipped?

BobbyLight 05-24-2016 04:03 PM

How far is the wait backed up to at this point? Also, I know the CF vs SS makes a difference in sound, but which is louder? I am considering the non res but if it's not loud enough may have to go with "the FP option".

I believe the lead time is 8-12 weeks and I think the CF mufflers are slightly louder. Are you sticking with your stock cats?

Give Kevin a call at FI. He will simplify your decision and make you understand the difference in the resonance between the SS and CF CBE. I believe the current wait is 12+ weeks. FI is busy this summer and good for them! Get your order in asap so that you can enjoy the Z with the FI CBE, sooner than later.
