I was the one who called in yesterday wondering if there was a cobra in my exhaust. I'm getting used to the hiss, it's pretty interesting. Not bad, just different.

just wait until you pull into a non-Z type meet and everyone climbs under your car looking for turbos.

trust me. it happens to mine every weekend and even better when i leave the hood open. they ask what size turbos i have. its entertaining lol

that or with the striahgt pipes they think i now have done an engine swap.

the best part is even with lambos, ferraris, and porsches every where that i can still typically draw the largest crowd when leaving. all have their cameras out and videorolling lol they all love the FI staight pipes :stirthepot:

Yes, they are Tony approved! Frank, when I get around to it, I may put your pipes into production. We will call them, "The FP" option.

We love you too. :nutswinger: But don't expect long showers, reach arounds, and swapping split to happen any time soon.

Hiss? What hiss? I don't hear it. Please explain.

You don't get a hiss when coasting? Especially downhill? Seems to happen most as the engine holds the car back.

It sounds like more of a sucking sound than a leak. Although I've never heard it explained as to what it actually is.

Rusty 10-10-2014 03:54 PM

The hiss could be harmonics in the exhaust from the VVL changing positions. Best guess.

R3V 10-10-2014 04:09 PM

When you go catless it hisses at the xpipe. I could make up all sorts of **** as to why, but I really have no clue.
