I believe that's normal for the 370z. I know the GT-R can't rev above 3K RPM

I believe if you hold in the clutch while you rev it'll let you pass 5k but I know when I've tried before the same things happen just a safety feature I guess :(

Did it rev past 5k before the install?

Cooltoy, honestly I don't remember well, but I had a feeling I revved it before and it pasted, but anyways I just took it for a drive and everything was fine

Very nice. Like the perfectly placed FI license plate frame also. :)

VQ looks great! The low revs were prob just the computer adjusting. Did u disconnect the batt before installing? It should help with the learn it curve of the ecm.

That's what I figured, no I didn't disconnect the battery before, I should have, but everything is fine now

I had the car on for about 15 mins before I revved it

Doesn't the Z limit revs in neutral?

So I've had the exhaust on for just over two months and I finally got around to showing the muffler canisters some love. Sprayed on some foaming wash, scrubbed gently with a boars hair brush, and wiped them down. They pop; I didn't even bother polishing just yet!

so cold start, then idling for 15 min?

It may not have been warmed up enough. I know most modern ecu's now, if not all, wont allow you to rev up the engine until its at full operating temp.

my main point being here that the exhaust had nothing to do with it.
