I like big butts, and I can not lie

The guy in our mail room at work just informed me I received a large box :happydance:

Now the wait begins till the 4 o'clock quitting time to go home and install! :excited:

So speaking of the big butt look, I'm liking the CF over the SS for more of a subtle, sleeper look. But what I read in the thread is the CF has a more high pitch, "exotic" sound compared to the SS. I would prefer a lower tone.

Running it with the 18" resonator vs. the 12" one should give it a lower tone, right? I plan on sticking with stock cats BTW.

12" resonators with CF Cans - Highest Pitch, Most volume
18" resonators with CF Cans - Slightly Higher Pitch, High volume
12" resonators with SS Cans - Slightly Deeper Pitch, Lower volume
18" resonators with SS Cans - Lowest Pitch, Lowest volume

Adding LTH's to any of these combos will also change the pitch and Increase the volume obviously. I find the LTH's make it a hint more aggressive as there are no cats/resonators to worry about pre-CBE. There is a slight hint of rasp to it, nothing obtrusive. But just enough to let others know you have a straight through exhaust.

Chris really summed it up nicely. While the CF cans do give it an aggressive/exotic sound to it, if you pair them with the 18" resonators it is pretty deep for a V6. The sound differences are fairly subtle between the two, and we tell people to make their decision based on aesthetics. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to call me directly.

Thank you, Blake.

Small review on the service and exhaust:

I recently bought a used 18" resonated Cf exhaust off a forum member, and Tony hooked me up with the install in thier shop just this morning.

I was quite surprised that Tony actually did the install himself, i thought he only handles customer service and billing. Not to mention he does a lot of the fabrications and plays a very important role in the entire production, whether it is the FI exhaust system or the developement of their TT kit.

So my hat is off to you Tony, and thank you for the help.

And of course i cant leave Blake out of this, he helped me a lot with my questions and he is very professional and friendly as usual.. Matter of fact, all the staves are. Best of luck on your projects, cant wait to see the finished product.

Anyways, thank you both once again, please dont count me out as a future customer.

Felt like Christmas yesterday with it snowing outside as I opened the box after waiting exactly 3 months. As others have stated previously, I was impressed with the way F.I. packages and wraps the exhaust. This exhaust was by far the easiest installation I have ever installed. There was no need to even look at the directions until I noticed the 2 tie wraps and insulation for the fuel line. The whole install took less than 2 hrs including getting the car up on stands and the removal of the stock exhaust. After the install I was so eager to start it up. All I have to say after that first cold start is holy $hit! It sounded amazing! I took a before and after video with my GoPro but unfortunately I removed it from it's shock/waterproof casing without knowing how distorted the the audio would sound without. After driving it around I am very pleased with swapping to the 12" instead of the 18" and going with CF instead of SS. I couldn't imagine it any quieter. The sound is perfect! Thanks F.I. for the high quality exhaust you produce! :tiphat: :driving:

Sorry for the poor quality photos; they were taken with the phone.
