Need your guys opinion

Ok so here's the deal, im in the market for an exhaust and came across a gt haus rear and mid pipe for 1600, and loooooooove the way that exhaust sounds, but lets be honest for 1600 i can get a brand new full cbe so im really hesitant on this. My second option is I can get injen cai and a FI cbe for a little over 1k here on the forms and still have some dough left over. Im leaning towards option 2 because it jus seems to make more sense, i was just wondering your guys opinion, im still pretty new at all this, thanks!

Give Tony a call at F.I. and get yourself setup with a great product, or just to get his advice on what route to go, even if it isn't F.I.

1600 is way too much for not even a full CBE. But your money of course... :tiphat:

If you're looking at intakes, depending on how much labor you want to go through, injens may not be the best option.

Are you going for performance or just sound?
Performance wise... it's hard to find a better cbe than FI for the 370s.
Sound wise, the gt haus is damn sexy :driving:

yea the more i think about 1600+ shipping is just way too much, because id also need the y pipe and i wouldnt be happy with just stock cats, As far as intakes it seems like the gen3's are the way to go i just happen to come across these so i thought id ask

I have an MXP cat back now with motordyne art pipes and the sounds pretty damn good. Ive gotten lots of compliments on how my car sounds. You can get a good deal on used MXP if you can find, even brand new they aren't terribly priced. I also like the stainless burnt tips it came with.

I'm actually changin it up though. Picked up a fast intentions exhaust, got a little less than 2 months left on my wait. I wanted to go back to the polished tips again and I also wanted the carbon fiber canisters. Went a little all out on this one haha FI has a great sound too as mentioned above and I'm really lookin forward to it!

In all honesty, I would hit some local meets in your area and see how everything sounds and see what kinds of combos people have and what you like best. Find out people's numbers if that's super important and then go with it. My biggest suggestion is don't half *** it, stick to brands you know don't have known issues, cuz they're are some out there. They are gonna cost a bit more but its always worth it even if you have to wait to order while you wait for that $$ to replenish. Just a little research and all info will be revealed!

Good luck bud!

Thanks Romulus, I definatly dont wanna have a$$ my baby so im pretty sure im gonna go with the FI

You should go with F.I I have mine on order but the treatment I received was second to none, you will get a great product and service.

My opinion would be that if you are getting a CBE save your money and buy the post MAF tubes and filters... They net very close to CAI once exhaust pieces are added on....

+1......... :iagree: You can sit at your computer all day & night & watch YouTube videos of cars with certain exhausts, but the best bet is to hear it in person. Stick to big name brands that are very reputable & have great quality craftsmanship. You have to remember that you have to pay to play & a really good exhaust is worth the price & the wait. The question you have to ask yourself that someone has already stated is "are you going for the sound or performance?" As you can tell by my sig you can tell what route I went. I wanted something unique & distinct. In the end whatever route you go you will not be disappointed & it is your money & car.

Just throwing this option in there. For that price you can get an exotic speed catback.. Also very good sounding. Amazing craftsmanship and built here in North America. Also I haven't seen too many people on the forum with it.

raymondo510 06-08-2012 11:59 PM

Thanks every one for the feedback, but I just bought some FI non- res cats here on the forum and decided to go with the FI cbe, and jus like everyone said their customer service was awesome. Too bad the freakin wait time is like 12 weeks!!! I cant wait till they get here. I was thinking bout adding the CF on the mufflers but I didnt really think it was worth the extra 300

Good choice man .. Here's a few vids to make the wait a little more exciting, but dreadful to actually wait for ;)

I got motordyne shock wave 2 and everyone, me included thinks the car sounds like a ferrari. Get what you like best but defiantly give them a good look.

sent from my SAMSUNG SINGLE TURBO SGH1717

I'm surprised Motordyne isn't mentioned more often. They are a direct competitor to FI, both designed and built in the US and both have a guy called Tony running the show (coincidence?) I hear Tony from FI always gives great service and i know from personal experience than Tony from MD gives amazing service as well.

I would advise against non resonated TP's, unless you like RASP.
