To be honest, I was put off by the sound in the first moments of the video, but was pleasantly surprised when it opened up, it sounded good.

it's 2.5 inches and my car is slammed. it sounds way better in person. the gopro case covers up the microphone.

Do a drive by with Somebosy recording :)

If you can get a stereo mic, even a cheap $16 one, plug that into the gopro's mic port, you'll get amazing sound quality instead of the carp built in mic, even without the cover it's terrible.

the problem is there's not a spot to plug in the microphone on the case.. unless i drill a hole on the case.

That doesn't sound like a very good design, i've not heard of other people with that problem, is there a different case type? Do you need to run it with the case? i understood that it's a wind shield case to help the mic, if you run an external mic, it's not required.

If this shows decent dyno numbers ..im all over this...my intention has always been FI, but this looks to be a pretty good exhaust for low cost

yes i need the case to mount the camera. it's the vibration between the case and the camera too i think.

chrischhorn 06-19-2012 11:19 AM

Exhaust sounds awesome. Heard this in person last night when we went out for sushi lol. Very aggressive sounding with hfcs. Fairly loud but not annoying by any means. Cy was showing off last night though.......lol
