Hey im new to this forum, got a 2009 base 370z with sport package a month ago and am definitely interested in the top speed exhaust. I was going to get the aam shorties but they are 400 dollars sounds good but i rather get this top speed. Could anyone tell me if putting an exhaust will void my warranty? Car has 35k miles and i extand to 70k. I have heard many diff answers that cai is ok but exhaust woukd void warranty. Anyone know for sure?

cycy89 07-30-2012 03:24 PM

the stainless steel one is currently out of stock, but there are still some titanium look ones in stock!

edit: new shipment came in!

What do you think of the quality of the stainless model? The welds, flanges, bends, attachment to hangers? Do you feel the quality matches the price point, above the price point? Did you feel you gained power, lost power or neutral compared to your previous exhaust... Sorry for the inquisition? Curious!

The quality is definitely above the price point! It's hard to tell with the power because I had their other model before this, and I had a custom tune for the other exhaust. but wait until it breaks in, you'll feel the big difference in power and sound!

Price w burnt tips to 60914

TGreen 08-11-2012 10:50 AM

I understand that one would certainly benefit from getting a tune specifically for this exhaust, but is it necessary? Put another way, if I bought this exhaust and swapped it with the stock would I lose any torque or horsepower, or just not gain as much as possible if I got a tune?

I live out in bumble-F and have no idea where or how I could get a tune for this exhaust.

Thanks

Sorry man just saw your message.
Tune is not necessary, but it can definitely make a difference. The ECU is pretty smart for our car

Thanks for your response. Watched your videos, car looks and sounds tight. I couldn't help but notice a sharp rattle or buzz on acceleration . . . Is that just a loose screw on the tips or is this sound endemic with all the exhausts of this style?

Thanks.

The tips are a little loose and it causes the noise.

And you can purchase the burnt tips separately.

Not sure if it’s the old or the new design but I sure will not be buying one of these per this Top Speed exhaust thread recently posted http://www.the370z.com/intake-exhaus...st-review.html due to poor quality in welding, fitment and bad customer service.

I believe that's the new ti-look design. Personally I liked their old single mid-pipe design, A LOT, quality was good and fitment was good. I sold the whole set up to a forum member and bought one of their new designs, their true dual design. The quality is good, fitment is ok, had to twit it a bit, but nothing big. geroge is one of their sales person, he can be a little cranky sometimes... I used to work for them part time, and that's how I get you guys the discount. I felt bad that he had a bad customer experience, that doesn't normally happen.

How did you twist it? I got the Ti-Look dual and the driver's side x-pipe isn't lining up correctly with the cat. I'm really not interested in finding out how good the customer service is or isn't. I just want the exhaust to bolt on like it should.

RUFFSTUFF 10-27-2012 08:23 PM

Got it taken care of.
