Magnaflow exhaust owners
Hi all, new to the group. Just purchased a 370Z over the weekend!
I was thinking of upgrading to a Magnaflow catback system, and was wondering if any magnalfow owners can comment on their sound levels and quality. I prefer that it not be too loud so that it doesn't bother the neighbors in the morning, it doesn't drown out my stereo when the windows are up and I'm on a 200-mile road trip, and a deeper tone. Does magnaflow system match this description? I tried searching on previous threads but there were so many pages to go through! Thanks for your help. Cheers, |
Yeah.... not sure the magnaflows are the flavour of the day on the Zeds to be honest.

(insert generic FI recommendation)

not sure that ive ever seen pictures of the magnaflow on a z,nor have i seen much info on them...perhaps id suggest you to look at the other companies?
|
I know that not everyone got the budget to get FI, BERK, etc. IMHO save up and get a decent CBE, I see magnaflow like Universals quick fix exhausts. :/ .. just my .02 cents.

I have the tanabe, and I believe its supposedy one of the quieter exhausts,as it bolts on after the y-pipe. so you maintain more stock parts.
|
I also run a Tanabe exhaust. It still isn't cheap, but it is considered quieter compared to some of the others. If your looking for an inexpensive alternative, AAM just released some bad a$$ short tails for $429. It has the same tips as Tanabe, but they are titanium and burned.

Thanks everyone!

I bought my car used but the previous owner had already installed a Magnaflow catback and Typhoon Intakes but for me the car seems still way too quiet.
Im going to get HFC next and see if it sounds sporty at that point. |
for the money CNT CBE. few issues but they are easy to fix.
