This car has the GTM kit on it with the full 3" down pipes. The down pipes are considered to be test pipes. The catalytic converters are further downstream right in front of the x pipe.

Edit: Nvm, just saw that you were comparing a turboed with N/A. That's not really a fair comparison, since the turbo is quieting down the exhaust. If you slap the 2.5" version on a turboed car, it should be even quieter.

Correct, you got it! The turbos are acting as primary mufflers. It is much quieter inside the car than our 2.5" NA version. This is one of the main reasons we decided not to offer this system the (FI 3" TT-TDX) with resonators.

Alright, the real question on my mind is does anyone have bedore/after dyno of just the 3" or did I miss it? Obviously the 3" will flow better, which is always good for a turbo setup, but it would be interesting to see how the improved flow effects power.

After riding 2000 plus miles in ron's TT nismo w/FI 3" non-res exhaust. All i can say is, damn that thing sounds so good. Just cruising at speed i would have never guessed it was boosted with a 3" non-res setup. No crazy loud drone or anything just sweet exhaust notes, when you put your foot in it and it spools up so fast it's just unreal how the beast comes to life. At the end of the trip to and fro ZdayZ, i'm wanting to drop my SC'ed plans and go TT just so i can get this 3" setup. By the way i've got the FI 2.5" catback right now and love it.

Thank you for your feedback and input. I would say 2,000 miles is a good assessment of how the exhaust really performs and sounds. I am hoping that you guys took some video that you will share with us.

As for the new TT plans hopefully you will keep us in mind and see what we have to offer when we release it.

What the!? Replacement ECU?

Yeah.........we wer all baffled. Somehow there was water in the connector and it faces down. Bank one was missing when we fired her up. I am getting the ECU under warranty (8/80 on the ECU) thank God! There is a dealer just two block from Zerolift. Hopefully we get the ECU on Monday, so we can keep our dyno appointment on Tuesday!

Tony, feel free to change the status of mine in the original post to "installed". I can't say enough good things about it. Just the right volume and sound. The guy with the other 370 in the office parking garage was very disappointed he couldn't buy this because he doesn't plan on a turbo kit. Not only do I love it, but it's now both "girlfriend-approved" and even 60+ year old men want their car to sound like this. Well done.
