Some questions on F.I. Revisions
I am thinking about upgrading my CNT exhaust to a 18" resonated FI one. One major issue is my car is sitting pretty low right now and the CNT exhaust occasionally hits...
Did F.I. revise their exhaust so it sits a bit higher? I thought I heard it does. This is important so I can decide whether or not to go all new or consider a used one. Also does anyone know the average wait time for a build? |
from what i heard, the new version sits a little higher but the mufflers are still the lowest part of the car.

The lowest point of the muffler is even with the rear axle. Average wait time is 3.5 months. I am #541 on the list.

Wow... ok... Speed did they make you pay in full while waiting or just a deposit?
Is the muffler any higher? I'm ok with it being the lowest point as long as it isn't too low. |
Just a deposit. From what I have read it has been revised to raise it up to the highest point possible with the design. Like I said the lowest point is now even with the rear axle. I think the only way to truly get away from the issue of possibly rubbing the cans is with the stacked muffler design from other manufacturers. I have read where members have scratched there cans on speed bumps and such...but alot of that is probably due to the driver and dropping the rear end hard enough to flex the suspension to hit the can. If you are lowered you already know to angle anything that looks sketchy. I plan on adding Swift springs later and dont foresee any issue with the FI exhaust. Hope that helps.
