Will this kit fit a 2012? I saw them online but they said 09-11 models.

It should but since the 2012 has the factory oil cooler I don't know. Call and ask them. I had to re-route my cooler lines around the outside of the intake tube to get it to work with the Z1 oil cooler. So it takes some fiddleing. I told Z1 about it.

Thanks for the reply. I'll check into it.

They are very quiet if you have the bypass valves installed. Take those out and it instantly becomes more throaty and about 10 times as loud.

The valves act like a resonator of sorts to break up the howl, barely any louder than stock except at very high RPM and WOT.

What do the bypass valves do in these? Protection from water?

Yes, they will open up and let air in if the fliters get clogged with water.
I think AEM has a patent on them, there used to be a video of a car running
and then the ffilters are dunked in water to show how they work.

THe fender liner protects the filter, and if your in water deep enough to flooed the whole thing....your going to be floating away anyhow.

Ahhh I see. Hey did you end up getting that dyno you were talking about? Sorry, just really interested in buying some intake soon and can't decide between these and Gen3.

DCNISMO 05-28-2012 11:48 AM

Yes, go check the tuning section. I posted my dyno tune.
