That said, the weight is down low and to the rear, which is helpful for the car's balance anyways. If you want to shed weight in the exhaust, you'd probably have to buy one of the (much more expensive) Ti exhausts.

Not exactly. I had a JIC single setup on my 350z which was ~25lbs lighter than stock and made more power. And it was $600.

As posted in another thread, I apologize FricFrac that you got some incorrect information regarding the STILLEN cat-back exhaust. Here's the weights of both systems.

Stock Exhaust

Muffler Section - 26.8lbs (highly inefficient)
Y-Pipe - 11.6lbs
Resonated Y-Pipe - 15.6lbs
Total: 54.0lbs

STILLEN Exhaust

Muffler Section - 39.6lbs (proven huge hp gains)
Y-Pipe - 11.3lbs
Resonated Y-Pipe - 14.4lbs
Total: 65.3lbs

Difference: +11.3lbs and 18whp

Also note that the weight is at the lowest point of the car, over the rear wheels, which will increase traction.

Thanks I also got a call from Dean stating the info he gave me was on the shipping weight so just a little "lost in translation". Another reason why I'm more than happy to be dealing with Stillen - you guys are very much involved in the development and performance of your parts AND you care about what the consumer wants. Thanks for the correction!

No problem.. it's very possible the boxes weigh up to 90lbs when shipping.. the boxes we use are really thick, and the packaging material inside is designed to keep things in the manner we ship them, but all of that adds weight. But nothing is worse than getting a heavy item like an exhaust and having something hanging out of the box when it gets there!

Good for you guys we have free freight.. LOL

Actually the shipping and brokerage from Stillen is another cost savings for us here in Canada compared to ordering from other manufactures.

Non-Resident Importer into Canada.. we did that to do what we could to keep the shipping costs as low as possible..
