Smart play on Z1's part. The dyno is already out there for the exact same product from a competitor, so why put out HP claims that will only prompt people to bitch if they don't get the same dyno results.

Correct, i wouldnt make a claim on this. If people undrstand how they work and everything they do, that should be enough.

Hell yea!! If you buy it good for you and if you don't then good for you as well. Mine is on the way. :)

i have the hps version of these. i like em, i went with afe dry flow pannel filters however.

did i gain power? i have no idea. but with all the documentation and evidence that cai's dont do much on our car, besides in the high rpms i determined that the $500 + wasnt worth it.

some people are all about these, and others are all for the intakes.

that moment when you want to get in on the conversation but realize that the thread is almost 5 years old..... :ughdance:

Yup,this thread is old. Here's mine. I DIY'd but they were kind of hard to get on. It would have been easy had I removed the strut beam but could not get those bolts loose.

They look really good! Most users claim to feel a better throttle response after installation. Have you noticed that or other improvements in performance?

A waste of $108 it seems.......... :(
I was gonna buy these tomorrow cause I'm not far from Z1, but after reading this, I'll keep my money.
How does it breathe better, but gains nothing??? Will it make the K&N Filters perform better?
Other than that, what's the point? Is there a cool factor of having these under the hood where Some would waste $108 for pretty much ............NOTHING!!!

A long time ago someone posted the gains from these. They were just short of the long tube intakes people put on, but keep more mid range power. I believe the dyno showed a 6 - 8 hp gain. Again, this was years ago so im not sure where to even look for the info. It was on these forums though...

You are right. And the $500 metal tubes create heat soak. Better to stay with these...
