Decision, decisions: F.I HFC vs Berk HFC?
I'm trying to decide between the F.I HFC and the Berks.
I haven't seen gain numbers on the F.I HFCs; MotoIQ saw gains of 24whp in their review of the Berks. The only differentiating items I've noticed are the mounting tabs on the Berks. Other than that, they look similar. Any help or comments would be appreciated. BTW, I'm inclining to go with the F.I TDX CBE if that matters. |
F.I all day everyday!!!

Can't go wrong with either one :ugh2:

I've heard in person Berk HFC + F.I. CBE 18" in person and it does sound really good.

I've had the FI exhaust + Berk HFC combo on my '09 370Z and it sounded beautiful. I decided to try out FI exhaust + FI HFCs this time around (they just arrived in the mail yesterday) so I'll be putting them on this weekend. I think the combo will sound great but we'll see soon.

FI and Berk both make a quality product, so you can't go wrong either way. Let me know if I can help with anything.

I would get the one that is cheapest. They are pretty much the same. Both quality products.

Doesn't the core have a different cell count? I thought the FI was 300 v. 200 for the Berk? A lower cell count can mean better flow, whereas a higher count means it'll probably work slighly better in terms of emissions and rasp reduction.

Quality-wise the FI HFCs are just as good if not better than Berks. As far as sound, the FI HFCs seem to sound a little deeper than the Berks did. Car sounds absolutely amazing now!
