Need some recommended exhaust setups :D?

Hey guys, just bought a 2010 Z after Thanksgiving and I've been thinking about some simple mods. I'm not looking for anything too particularly loud while rolling around but defiantly when I open it up! Don't really mind looks, just looking for the power gains mostly. (without too much rasp and drone also) Any CBE + HFCs combos anyone could suggest that may go along my lines? Id like the price to be around 1.8k or less preferably And don't worry, I've search the forums and looked at tons of exhausts i'm just overwhelmed with all the choices and combos that i'm just curious if someone could point me in the right direction. :P

I was considering the FI setups but i have no idea if those are still available. (I'm guessing they are)

-Thanks, Conor
btw i love the car ^_^

The Fast Intentions CBE and Stillen CBE have shown really good gains. I have been running the FI CBE for about 5 months now and love it.

Fast intentions CBE + fast intentions HFC :D sound is amazing.

C'mon did you really search. 90% of the ppl will say FI.

Cafiax 01-18-2012 02:54 AM

To the OP, if you really searched, then you wouldn't have needed to make yet another 'Whats the best _____ (exhaust) setup?' thread...

That being said:

Based on the price, and sound that you're looking to go for, I would (along with many other satisfied customers) suggest a Fast Intentions CBE with 18" Resonators and Stainless Steel cans. And a set of Fast Intentions High Flow Cats. This setup will probably run you about $1500 shipped with an 8-10 week waiting period. If that's too much, then I would say look to ARK Performance for their exhaust. They have a few different models/versions out there. Turnaround will probably be a bit shorter.

However I will say this, don't let impatience chump you in to getting something that doesn't 100% please you. If you ever for a second considered getting any Fast Intentions part, or just wanted to talk exhausts and get a better idea of what you want, call Tony @ Fast Intentions. His customer service is excellent even if you don't end up buying a F.I. exhaust.

You should find local events/meets and go listen to several different setups that people have and listen to what sounds best to you. Then price it, and if it fits your budget, winning. If not, save up for it.

I hiiiiiiiiiiiighly recommend Fast Intentions. I spent well over 6 months researching exhausts and listening to 100's of youtube vids and listening to every exhaust on our platform possible in person...yet I still came back to FI. You just can't go wrong w/ the sound, the gains, and the fitment/quality. There's absolutely ZERO drone, ZERO rasp, and its def not too loud(you can choose 0, 12" or 18" resonators).

FI FTW!!!!!!

I also like the FI setup although I'm very happy with my AAM Competition CAIs, HFCs, and True Dual exhaust setup. Its might be a little too much for some but its not crazy loud. I wanted my Z to sound like it had a pair and get some gains and AAMs setup met the requirement. Like it has been said already, go to a meet and listen to the setup yourself or you won't be doing yourself any favor. Thats what I did and it was the best way to go about deciding.

I'm rolling with gen III cai, CNT reasonated test pipes, top speed y-pipe and Top speed exhaust reasonated and titanium tipped. It is amazing and I get compliments on the sound and style all the time. The gains are extremely noticeable. I love love love my set-up.

kchu221 01-20-2012 02:01 PM

kchu221 01-20-2012 02:01 PM
