Fast Intentions CBE + EVO-R Rear Diffuser

I currently have a FI CBE and i'm thinking about buying the EVO R CF rear diffuser. I have heard stories about it not fitting. Does anyone have the exhaust with the diffuser that can show me a picture to see if it fits fine or requires shaving? It will be greatly appreciated :D thanks

Interested in this too. I love the look of the diffuser, but I will most definitely be getting an FI cat-back when I get an exhaust.

Is NOT going to fit. I had to sell my EVO-R diffusser because the clearance between the tips and the bumper is was not enough.

You would have to shave or cut a big portion to clear the tips.

Can't you just put some washers on the hangers to increase the space in between the diffuser and the tips?

I have both of them on right now. Just use some washers on the hangers.

I had the same problem with my Invidia. Shop just put washers in to add more clearance.

I have not personally seen the diffuser in person but I can tell you this.

You have the ability to space the rear part of the system down (somewhat). You can give yourself 1/4-5/16" extra tip clearance if you need it. I recommend to not go any lower than that. I feel it would put too much stress on the exhaust system.

Hopefully that amount will work for you.

Please keep me posted...

Thanks, Tony

These are the only pictures of it I have at the moment, I could do some better ones later.

Thanks EZT!! Just what I've been looking for. How long have you had the 2 installed together though, just curious as to burning the diffuser.

I just got mine and should have it installed shortly. This is just a photo of it laying on the exhaust tips to get an idea of the end result.

F.I. Here I come (after taxes lol), be ready Tony! I'm definitely getting the CF mufflers

^ good choice! I have the CF 18 res coming in March and the Fujimura diffuser on standby (I'm doing it all at once - I think it will be easier to fit the diffuser when the muffler is off.)

I've had both on the car for a good 4-5 months now. No problems with it either.
