:tiphat: Hello again everybody !

first of all let me say that I'm overwhelmed by the feedback and interest in this project - still after so many years !

the main reason I didnt follow up over the last months was that I have seen the GTM adapter ready to order at their shop for quite a reasonable price so I thought people will order from them no need to evolve my solution further.

But after Adrian has contacted me and we had that long chat conversation I'm motivated again to bring it to a release-condition.

Here are the answers to the very last questions:
- the balancing tube from the GTR cannot be reused as there is no room for it due to the VVEL motor. But I can provide a new balancing tube no problem. Thats one of the things I want to test on my own setup to see if it changes anything - still on my to do list. While I think it shouldnt do much on NA it would be mandatory for TT apps.

- for the G37 I havent tried that yet but am very positive that it will work there same as on the Z

- Adrian has explained to me about the GTM deal and I'm very sorry for everybody who feels scummed and therefore is very careful especially when ordering overseas. PayPal will be the best choice so you have at least 45days instant refund guarantied.

- the strut bar I made bases on the stock strut bar - of course I can make that for anybody who is interested.

- as for upgrade GTR manifolds others than the stock one I cannot say how and if the will fit. If they use the stock lower GTR manifold there is a good chance it will also fit the 370Z unless their dimensions come into conflict with the oil cap, VVEL, etc. - that is something we would need to test to make a clear statement.

let me work on the dynosheets ( I have so many here I need to figure out which one was at which state of the development ) and the pricing and come back to you asap !

Thank you so much,
Chris

Out of curiosity, and not to piss on everyone on the list, but does everyone know that this will likely be $1000-2000? And with no verified gains on an N/A car? (I believe the 1 forum member with the GTM kit on his car had no gains)

Oh. Lol... Octet, "sub'd" is probably members saying they're subscribing to the thread, not seriously interested in the product. (I'm sure people are interested, but only if this thing makes MASSIVE gains)

octet 06-13-2014 09:30 AM

I am just subbed for results, not signed up for a group buy or anything.

I prefer ásshole. And I just don't think peoples' expectations should be over-hyped before there is any evidence

brucelidat 06-13-2014 01:37 PM

i have no expectations, just curious to see what the results are

Kingbaby 06-13-2014 03:15 PM

Haha gains!

It's a larger manifold!

We've learned with proper tuning more air can be turned into gains! Many tuners that have tuned z33/z34s are just messing with the fuel map!

If you didn't know that you have a lot to learn about the potential of a proper tune!

Because on average and I will say with 99.8 % confidence that a majority of tunes are just that!

So for the NA junkies a few ponies on top of a better looking aluminum manifold is a plus plus!

Then someone needs to make a z34-R decal! For the ricer in us all!

Krazy.1K 06-13-2014 03:46 PM

I waiting to see what the results are, was about to pull the trigger on Z1 VQ37VHR Intake Plenum Power Mod.

HKYStormFront 06-13-2014 03:47 PM

I realize this is more about aesthetics than it is power gains but just so everyone knows, Z1 sells a "ported" OEM intake. I don't know exactly what all is done to the intake but we have seen some gains (after tuning) on the race car with it. Bear in mind the race car goes to 8500rpm where the gains are the greatest. Long story short, if anyone is just looking for an extremely well flowing intake, there are other more cost effective ways. If you want gains and looks, which would be my choice, then this is probably the better way to go.

brucelidat 06-13-2014 05:45 PM

Does the z1 one have any better mid/low range gains than the motordyne m370? It's hard to tell from their graph, only noticeable part is some peak gains.

The problem is it isn't actually a larger manifold, the CSA of the gtr runner is smaller, the runner is longer, and with the new lower the air has to fight some hard transition angles now too, as well as some very short profile changes in the runner. the gtr runner is not a huge oval it is actually just a straight tube that is cross sectioned at an angle where the flange is. It is a manifold designed specifically for boost and I wouldn't be suprised if you actually see losses on an NA car. It is designed to increase low and midrange to spool turbo's quicker.

Link to the CSA flow test on both? Hard to believe that one...flipping a HR/VHR over, to show the underside shows the same design essentially.

I will believe that this is going to happen when I see one of the conversions installed. Otherwise my money is on CJM and Phunk's aluminum manifold project. I don't believe in ghosts and phantoms are cars..............

synolimit 06-14-2014 07:26 AM

For money and power just port or your TB's, upper and lower manifold and call it a day. No need to get fancy.

Threads 3 years old, I'm sure plenty have said it!! Same reason why SPC made so much money on camber arms, we all waited 100 years for them to be made by SPL.

Can we just kill this thread already? I still don't see any video's or dyno pulls. It's coming it's coming. Give me a break already, not trying to come off as a **** but really no results yet you want people to band together? This thread is a joke all you did was waste everybody's time by collecting names and "talking" about results.

Dude, just take it easy, i've been abroad for two weeks, just came back 2 hours ago, catching up with things. No reason to act like a moron, we all want the same thing, just be patient. Will get in touch with Chris later on and update the thread. Meanwhile you can move on GTM threads and continue with your nice attitude, at least they deserve it.

Your calling me a moron for being a realist? Let's review the facts.
This thread was started on 12/19/11
He stayed up with the thread here and there and finally in 5/14/13 "after extensive driving" which he stated the dyno will be tomorrow.
I got a dyno sheet in german the very next day which he went on to review and translate for us. He picks up some tq. but keep in mind this modification is GTR vs Stock Manifold no other modifications are included and a tune was not applied.
After this the next 2 months he talks about the strut bar and how it needs to be made and so forth.
7/10/13 is his last post prior to you tracking him down which you started popping up in Feb. then in June you had made contact.
ChrisUR next post is 6/10/14. I still have not seen a video of how the car sounds a or an actual video of a dyno being done. Not to mention no word of a tune? So for a year he has been driving around with out a tune?
Let me start over, I want this thread to succeed as I do have a GTR manifold and purchased it just b/c of ChrisUR. Yet no sufficient data has been produced and you want people to be patient when this thread is going on being 3 years old? I have been sitting idle for him to post up anything and your telling me to be patient? Do me a favor, you want the thread to go in the right direction then start posting some videos, and dyno sheets. Nobody even knows what the car sounds like.

chrisbeltre 06-25-2014 07:23 PM

I actually do, I saw him at a track last year.

Kingbaby 10-13-2014 10:02 AM

I'm in Sigonella and I can't sleep because I don't have this in my life

Jordo! 10-13-2014 09:22 PM

I thought the OP wasn't going to make a kit...?

I'd like to see a really nice IM developed for this car too, but I kinda have the feeling it's going to wind up being something new, and specially designed on a flowbench with CAD software, rather than an existing piece that is modified... and not available anytime soon :(

Kingbaby 05-28-2015 04:30 AM

Because life is actually really long...

Kingbaby 08-14-2015 06:24 AM
