HFC installed

Paided $150 plus tax to have them installed (best money I ever spent) took two exhaust techs 1.5 hours to change them. Got a CEL 25 min after install but love the deeper sound and throttle response seems sharper.(

Try taking some steel wool and placing it inside the U-bung and then put in the o2 sensor. Disconnect the negative battery terminal or just clear the CEL and then see if it comes back.

If it gets down to what coarsness of steel wool, medium will work fine.

Which brand? Damn that's my fear of the HFC, that CEL.

Do yourself a favor and get an Uprev dyno tune and have that O2 sensor omitted...optimize your system (improve air-fuel ratio as well as free up even more HP and low to mid-range torque) and eliminate the HFC-caused CEL...kill 2 birds with one stone.

ERZ cats. sure work good. I got them used 3 or 5K on them. Still looked new, just discolored from the heat. Last user told me I would have a CEL!

It's all good, After I tune no more aft O2 for me.

:iagree: The permanant fix to the rear o2 sensor CEL problem with HFC's or test pipes.

Just an FYI. I have the ERZ HFCs as well. And the L-shaped o2 bung extensions. No CEL in 15,000+ miles.
