JWT Dual POP Charger info

Just an update on some real world dyno testing that took place on my car over at Technosquare...

All in all I would say that once the beta testing is done for the ECU, a reflash should yield better results. Especially once paired with both HFC's and a complete CBE.

If this is the first (or only) upgrade you are looking to make, I would say you are better off with some K&N drop in's unless you are going to get tuned specifically for an intake. It would seem the stock box's work pretty well for this car.

Discuss..

ya. the intakes look good and make a small difference in sound. but if u want performance out of an intake, go stillen g3

Stillen FTMFW

Thanks for the info and testing!

I will post further results after re-flash and other bolt on's added in this space.

RCZ already tried these pop-chargers and wasn't impressed with the results. He switched to the Stillen and was much happier. I think the long tube design preserves better air velocity which seems to be more important than just free breathing. Someone tested with removing the filters off the stock intake and it made no difference on the dyno so K&N drop in's would also be a waste.

Yeah I hear you on the Stillen's. The situation with the JWT's (according to the tuner) is that at lower RPM's, the air/fuel ratio's are not consistent. Continued testing is under way however I may end up going back to the stock box (or perhaps the Stillen's provided they aren't displaying the same characteristics.

So whats the latest on this? Stillen's better than the JWT's pop-chargers?
