Which Test Pipes yield the most proven whp gain?

Hey fellas, I'm in the market for test pipes and I've got a really good deal on the GTM resonated test pipes. I'm wondering whhich TP has yield the highest dyno proven gain?

Also do the test pipes yield higher gains the the HFCs? I'm ready to pull the trigger on buying so if those with TPs chime in on their experiences that would be great.

They are all the same. They only differ in quality of the welds and metal used. Also some have extended bungs for o2 sensors so they dont trigger a check engine light.

^^^ And barely that.

Pipes is pipes.

Biggest difference will be in sound -- resonated ones will buzz less (loving mine :D )

pretty much agree with above.

Art pipes! :)

^^^ Actually, yes -- there is some evidence that the Art pipes make a little more power than regular test pipes -- but again, it's in 1-1.5% more range, and a lot more expensive so...

I like the zero rasp factory about them

I see the Art pipes in the same league as the G3's: Yes, they do make a little more power than the less expensive alternatives (ebay TP's or brand name resonated and panel filtes+smooth tubes, respectively), but they are a LOT more expensive.

If you have deep pockets and want to squeeze every last possible hp out of the motor, then I say go for it. If not, the cheaper alternatives get you literally within a few whp at a fraction of the cost.

No, not the G3s!! Am totoally with you on the g3 debate! The beauty about Art pipes is that you dont lose tq, actually gain a bit throughout the powerband, and they make more HP in the whole band than TPs. and not to mention they produce noooooo rasp at any RPM....really clean up an exhaust that has TPs... they just puurrrrrr....
