Which Exhaust?

hey guys so i was wondering if anyone here can guide me towards making the right decision on the following Exhausts.

i am currently looking at the Amuse R1 Titan Extra STTI Exhaust and the Meisterschaft Titanium Exhaust.

can anyone tell me the main differences between these two? i.e: sound, power gain?

i know they're both pricey, however i'm willing to spend the money just dont know which one will be a better choice for the price.

thank you

I do not know much about the R1 so I can't say to much about it. If you want an exclusive, and stupid loud sound go with the Meisterschaft. I have Berk cats paired with this CBE and wow it rocks. I get complements all the time on it at every event I go to. I have videos in my build thread. GL with your choice and maybe someone with the R1 can chime in. Also unless your after weight savings I would just get the SS.

ya i definitely like the way Meisterschaft sounds but other than the loudness of the exhaust, did u actually get a power gain from it?

Mr&Mrs 03-25-2011 07:26 AM

I do not have dyno numbers to prove it, but I feel that the car is much more responsive throughout the power band. Maybe it just sounds faster lol.

haha ya definitely sounds faster haha. but thank you im still going to go with this exhaust btw what was the cost of berk cats?

The Meisterschaft just seems too loud for a daily driver. That thing belongs on a track car. If you want something really exclusive, true JDM, that will make your car sound quite exotic in the high rpms, but very quiet when driving casually, check out the Saclam unit. It's expensive, but exclusive and IMO it sounds amazing.

370ztune.com has all the pricey JDM stuff. I have no idea how long it will take for shipping though. It's $3600 for only the axle-back. You'd need to purchase the new front and midpipes separately. Idk if the actual units are as expensive as people think. That price includes all the shipping, taxes, and import fees. I almost pulled the trigger on one of these JDM units but then realized I would have a nervous breakdown if a pebble hit it or if I scraped it.

I own the Meisterschaft and it is very tolorable at normal RPM's (dont believe me watch my vids in my build thread). Now when you open up the throttle its a different story. Also you just posted how dumb it was to spend alot on this exhaust in TI in the thread made by one of our sponsors. Have you looked into importing a JDM exhaust? Not cheap.

Oh sorry forgot to say what I payed for my Berks. I think they were 450 shipped in a group buy, but I dont remember.

Yep that exhuast is also loud but it looks dumb with two cutouts in the back bumper. It also has deeper tone to it than the GT Haus.

Amuse R1000 Single Exhaust my friend has one FTW!

How is the GT Haus at crusing speeds? Any drone?

370z owner 03-25-2011 12:24 PM

haha ya ive seen r1000 however since im getting amuse rear bumper i much rather have the dual tips and i honestly really like the gthaus that thing is a monster (atleast the sound from it) and yes my car is pretty much going to be on a thin line between a track and street haha

It has very, very, very little drone at cruising speeds. It is actually more noticeable around 2400 RPM's DEPENDING on rate of acceleration. Also at lower RPM's "once again DEPENDING on acceleration" there can be a slight rasp. Last but not least you get a little hiss at the end of deceleration from the Berk cats. This is just me being very picky though, no one in person has ever mentioned any of those things to me. They are to busy drooling.

ok guess im going with the gthaus. =)

I like my ARK, but I'm not in love with the hissing it makes. I'm always looking for new options. I have a GTM resonated TP and the one thing I do like about the ARK is it's quite at cruising speeds even with the TP. I just dont have the $$ to buy another exhaust without knowing that my current one is sold. Also, the ARK sounds great at WOT, and they tell me they're working on a specific HFC design to eliminate the decel hissing, which is very loud with the tp.
