Mine sits perfectly. Aside from making sure you push up the x pipe on install, the fitment was damn near perfect

I also had the ARK exhaust installed and developed a nasty metallic rattle. I took it back to the shop today and it was the cross member causing the rattle. We configured a spacer kit which increased the clearance from the exhaust to the cross member and the rattle is gone. Too bad ARK doesn't include a spacer kit with the exhaust or at least some instructions warning you of the potential problem. Oh well, a quick easy fix once you know what to do.

you dont need a spacer. just have the exhaust installed correctly. hold the exhaust up as you tighten the bolts from the cat to the end.

thats the advice for installing any catback actually.

That may have worked for you but it did not work for me or some others. The spacer was they key, that or removing the cross member.

will the spacer but any weird stress on the exhaust welds over time? Causing them them to crack in the long run?

The spacers will not cause any stress to the exhaust thanks to the rubber hangers and the flex pipe at the Y
